    What snack foods do you bring to work?

    Lately I've been realizing that I get light-headed, hungry, short-tempered, and overall just feel weak if I don't eat every three hours when I'm at work. I was wondering if you all might be willing to share some of the snacks or foods you bring to work that aren't too time-consuming, fattening or make you feel heavy after eating them and don't need to be refrigerated?

    Apple and string cheese, can of peaches in juice not syrup, packets of oatmeal, ..theres more but I cant think of any. Why cant you use the big refrigerator at work?

    Soy nuts or soybeans were always my snack of choice for work or after work. They are high in protien low in fat and filled me up without making me feel stuffed, yucky or guilty.

    girl i take anything and everything i can fit in my bag. chicken wings, a steak from applebees gummy bears cookies fruit healthy or not im eating! i eat right all day, im workin my ass off im eating!. lol

    I try to take a smoothie with me no matter what, and I take fruit most of the time.

    Apple and string cheese, protein bar, protein powder in a mixing cup to add water to, triscuits and low fat cheese, half a turkey sandwich, half a cheese sandwich, pb and j. Any of the above

    Apple, banana, protein bar, SlimFast shake, and sometimes a small junk food snack--under 200 calories.

    trail mix with lots of healthy dried fruit, fruit, carrots, turkey sandwich, greek yogurt, string cheese.

    anything that's good for energy. i try to aim for some protein, too.

    Oh yea if you eat dried fruit get the natural sugared kind and go for NO sulfur ones. The sulfur makes me toot. They taste less sugary and better too.

    raw cashews (not roasted or salted) veggie sticks. (red peppers, carrots, cucumbers) grapes, bananas, raspberries, strawberrieschicken salad. sauted squash (summer) and zuchini.

    Use your imagination! and you should be able to use the big cooler. Just ask nicely, and explain that you do so much better well fed.

    Sandwiches, string cheese, TV dinners (if there's a microwave), granola bars, fruit...

    Just remember to bring sugarless gum for afterward. You don't want to have mustard breath or cheese breath for the rest of the night.

    I usually bring in a bag of popcorn to pop, a bag of pretzels, poptarts, granola bars, or trail mix. I like to eat something that won't fill me up, but will make me feel not hungry anymore, and those all seem to do the trick.
    Take the road less traveled- just make sure you have a map.

    I always used to bring shredded cabbage (red or green) with a red wine vinegrette or chopped celery with olive oil and salt/pepper.

    Ya, ya, I know, cabbage makes most people gassy but I can eat it all day and it doesn't bother me. I think because i'm Polish and Slovak i'm immune!

    Almonds, walnuts, dried figs, cherries, and if i bring a sandwich it's always on manna (essene) bread so it gives me instant energy

    I totally eat junk food, I just generally don't bring it to work. I would end up sitting in the dressing room all night chowing on chocolate.

    Now I'm going to go get a Snickers out of the vending machine in my hotel. Damn you Cally, you made me have a craving.

    I don't eat a work I drink lots of greygoose vodka though. If I would eat I would eat a banana or yougert and maybe a mixed fruit bowl. Not heavy food.

    Honestly, I never ate anything at work..I'd just go all night...not healthy I know but that was my routine.

    I am a PIG outside of work. I am addicted to Taco Bell (gross, I know) and pizza. And hamburgers. And Arby's. And chocolate. And...well, you name it and I eat it.

    But I don't eat that kind of stuff at work. I don't think I would be comfortable eating a burrito then trying to do a sexy stage set while sucking in my "food pregnancy" tummy. I take a granola bar or one of those 100-calorie pack of Wheat Thins or Triscuits. If I've just gone to the grocery store I'll take fruit or some cut up celery and peanut butter.

    Our cage sells Odwalla bars and smoothies, so I usually chug a protein smoothie or snarf a peanut butter protein bar when I'm hungry (which is at least once a night). It lasts pretty well, and it doesn't give me that belly like their (delicious delicious) tater tots do.

    I bring Healthy Choice soup and reduced fat Cheez its. I also pack a low cal granola bar in case I'm still hungry.
