    Default Skin firming cream/lotions

I just had my baby on Nov 15 lost the 18 lbs I gained and then some in about a week. I worked out lightly while I was preg and now also. I'm actually in really good shape. You can see my abs and all that good stuff. However, it seems like my belly skin got pretty stretched out w/ this preg ( my skin wasn't like this after my first). You can't tell at all unless I bend over, but it bugs me.
Do you ladies think some more of the elasticity will return to my skin eventually or am I doomed If anyone has any recommendations on how to tighten up the skin a little re creams, lotions, etc. I'm all ears. Thanks!!!

Some women will get this others will not. The only way to fix this is to have the skin removed. You can try firming creams, but they wont do much for the stomache. They don't do much for faces so i hear either.

Maybe more toning is what you need. In the way of major sit ups. Actually if it's the lower part of the belly do leg ups. And use weights on your ankles. JUst sit on a chair or your couch, or lay down on your back and lift the legs.
You will feel it where i think you are talking about.

Good luck. Sometimes this works. The skin needs s boost and our bodies need time to bounce back!

I sort of have the same problem. Sassysummer did a laser treatment and she posted some pics on here - it looks pretty awesome. I believe it's called the titan laser. I'm thinking of saving for it myself.

ooooh, titan laser?? More info anyone.
Thanks Pam. I haven't done alot in the way of abs because I had the seperation in the ab muscles due to preg, but I am going to start doing alot more ab work. Maybe it will help. I obviously wouldn't do anything major without working out those muscles first. Thanks!!

I can't beleive that many people look @ my posts and don't reply. Does everyone think I'm an ass or something. Like, all my threads are like this. This site is soooooo cliquey it's unreal. Thank you to the people who actually respond. Somebody else just posted a question exactly like mine and she has more responses than my thread. Hello! It's the same ???? Whatever

    ^ Okie dokie.

Anyways...I'll have to see how well my belly bounces back after this one. The return of the elasticity in the skin varies greatly ona number of things. One is age...two is hydration level and three is genetics. Keep eating well and working out and it should come back (for the most part). Your baby isn't quite a month old, yet...give it some time...sometimes it takes almost 3 months for the body to return to "almost" normal in the belly department. It took 9 months (well, almost 10 months) for you belly to get to where it was...give it some time to get back to "normal"...although it'll probably never be the way it was ORIGINALLY...it can go back to being pretty close.

BTW...those creams don't work. Drink up on your water and take fish oil supplements.

Thanks Venus. I'll do some abs and wait it out. Hopefully the skin gets a little tighter. I am a little low on the h2o so maybe that's it. And about the above post, I'm a little stressed today. The kiddos are acting up and I have a court thing tommorrow for a debt we have, but anyways, it has nothing to do with you Venus. You always respond to my threads and give me sound, knowledgable advice. And for that, I thank you. I read somewhere else on here, that you were going to leave us??? Please don't!!! You're one of the few that actually respond to my threads and have good advice!

On a side note, you're STILL preggo??? At my last appt. at 39 wks 3 days my gyno stripped my membranes, said I should bleed a little and maybe that would get things going. Well, I didn't bleed at all, but was feeling crampy. Well, I had been feeling crampy for two weks so I thought it was nothing. That was around 10 in the evening and by 7 in the morn realized I was in labor ( I was induced first time around for pre eclampsia so I was a little uncertain on how it would start normally). Had a couple of appointments, went to them, headed to the hospital @ 10 am, was 4cm, and had her @ 3:30.

Sending labor dust your way. And I think it's a boy and Adrian is a nice name. Actually, so is Alexander. Had them both on my list.

    Thanks again!!!

Well , to answer why so many view your thread but not so many post coul be because many people didn't have a response for it, or maybe they figured you'de see the other thread and find an answer there, or maybe you posted it during a high time of veiwers who were just looking around....not sure, but don't let it get to you....

For the other question, I am going to try the titan thing too, I have lost a lot of weight, and have had a tummy tuck, then lsot even more weight, so I have this skin that jsut doesn't want to go away. It also has some stretch marks...so we'll see if that helps. Other than that, exercise and eating well is the only thing I know of to help your skin bounce back, and keep in mind, it took nine months to get that way, it's going to take some time to get it back.

Well, my "baby" is almost 4 years old and there is still some loose skin there, as I mentioned in my post. It does take time and exercise and water, but it may not all go away. Mine has been the exact same since my daughter was about a year old, so I know mine's not going away without outside interventions ....plus I'm older so age is another consideration as VG said.

Off topic, but...you had your branes stripped? My doc did that at my last appointment and it was the next day with me as well. He wanted me to go into labor before he went out of town lol. I thought it was as painful as labor though...I think by the time he was done, I was halfway up the wall lol.

I am a HUGE fan of Philosophy products and in particular their Amazing Grace firming lotion. Nothing works for everyone ofcourse but if you are interested in giving this products a shot you can often purchase the smaller sizes on Ebay- these are perfect for trying it out or travel. I think the smallest size is a 2oz bottle.

I used regular firming lotion after my 1st, and Origins A Perfect World cream. I massaged these in 2 times a day and it took several months (4 or 5 maybe) for things to get back to normal. I'm a little nervous about this one though. I keep hearing it will take a lot longer to return to normal.

Avon's Anew Lift & Tuck has worked pretty well on my tummy and butt! It can get kinda pricey if you use it as directed (morning and night, liberally), but you can get it on eBay for pretty cheap.
