Seriously. Fasting is pretty much only good for dropping some quick waterweight pounds and temporarily slowing down your metabolism and possibly forcing your body into ketosis (a toxic state).
Instead of fasts, try going 3 days ONLY eating totally raw fruits, veggies, and natural juices? You'll actually be eating food (instead of starving yourself), and with whole fruits/ vegetables you'll more likely be reaching the healthy calorie low of about 1000-1200. That'll "clear" your system out and drop water weight just as effectively, if not moreso, than starving yourself for a week or more.
