nothing guys?
It sounds like you already know what you're doing wrong. Sit for a song or two and ask for a dance. If they so no, move on. Easy peasy!![]()

Sometimes it is hard to feign interest, but when you feel yourself getting bored with them then that's definitely the time to ask for a dance. Actually, try asking before you get bored. When the next song starts say something like, "Hey, I love this song! Can I dance for you now?" If they say no then off you go and you don't have to sit with them anymore.

i am with you. i have been getting frustrated easily. but i think it's because im pms-ey and i dont want to feign interest. i have found that taking a stress-relieving *something* (massage, bath, hot tub, shower, nap, movie time, etc) before work is really helpful. if i find myself getting stressed DURING work, i will force myself to break for ten. in that time i'll do something i like, like pop in the DJ booth and ask to sign online for a minute and read up on SW's hustle hut, or put on my ipod to a song tha tmakes me feel supah hawt, or call someone to give me a "girl you know you're a hot thing!", or ill just turn to my best friend and ask her to pep me up.
Love it!

If you are not interested in what the customers have to say, perhaps you should start asking questions that actually may be of interest to you or change the standard questions a bit that might draw a better and more interesting response. Great salesmanship isn't about being robotic, it's about constantly adapting to the situation just like playing chess. So instead of asking, "Where are you from" maybe ask instead, "What did you enjoy most about your home town?" which will open the rapport process a bit more. Instead of saying, "That's a cool watch you're wearing," you should say, "Wow...tell me the story behind that watch."

^^ good idea DW. I hope this helps OP. Last night I got this football nut telling me all abotu the seeding of our division of the NFL, as the normal "what brings you in" wasn't working so well on him, giving one word answers. and *this* is why i go online sometimes during work just to remind myself of these little helpful hints in hustling. (say that five times fast)
Love it!
Honestly, on nights when I feel like that, I "wannadance." This way I still make some money--though probably not as much, but save my mental sanity.
