    Default Cosmetic tattooing

Has anyone had any facial cosmetic tattoos done?
I'm pretty interested in getting my lips filled in (they're really pale) and maybe eyeliner as well...

soooo..... what's it like and is it worth it?
(Have lots of regular tattoos, so the pain factor doesn't really worry me)

I was considering eyebrows.... Mine SUCK.... I always just draw them on and someone asked me if I tattood them and it got me thinking.

I do know of one woman who had lip liner and eyeliner and over time the liner fades to blue.... not so attractive.

ive always wanted a mole tattoed near my upper lip, like cindy crawford, but why are the tattoe shops so reluctant to do one if they have tattoed on make-up?

Its a cosmetic procedure. Its liability....

They might tattoos eachothers faces but they are smart not to do clients... Its really something that should be left to a professional (in regards to cosmetics and dermetology)... exspecially the eyes.

^^ Wow, that looks nice. I didn't know they could make the brow look so natural. When did you get your brows done?

Mia, your brows DO look good, I'm impressed! All the times I've seen the tatted eyebrows it looked pretty bad.

wow, your brows really do look great!
Mine are naturally white-blonde tho, so it's prolly look pretty silly on me.

Still keen on having my lips filled in tho - must be a bitch while it heals tho!!

I know a lot of girls who've had their eyebrows tatooed on.
It looks EXACTLY the same as if you drew them on. The only glitch, is that when you initially get them done they are usually much darker than expected, only because the brows will actually fade over time. Another thing to remember is that the skin becomes irritated from tatooing, so you must keep special creams on them for a week or so. It's really not that big of deal on or off stage, guys really don't take notice so much. The final issue is that there could be scabbing from the tatooing, but that is usually minimal.

All of this the tatoo artist should explain to you.

at the esthetics trade shows they advertise classes to learn how to apply and get certified doing permanent make-up in one afternoon. Do you really want someone permanently marking your face who has only trained for 4 hours?

Meea, standards for becomming a certified micropigmentation provider varies state to state. Some states regulate it more efficiently than others, while others have no regulatory laws at all.

Here in Colorado, you must be a liscened esthetician or cosmetologist and complete 130 hours of training in a state recognized school in order to become certified. However, Colorado has only recently begun (within the past 16 months) to set stadards and laws regarding permanent cosmetics.

As with any other cosmetic procedure, it is in your best intrest to research several providers, seek out reputable references, ask questions, and request examples of thier work.
