Lightbulb One night for charity--Any takers?

Ok, so I always buy those little $1-$5 donations at the supermarket for the local food banks.

So, in the spirit of a season of generosity, I am gonna donate one nights' earnings next week to charity. Gulp, my greedy little wallet is gonna regret this. But then again, it is a tax write off too.

I will say next Wednesday, my all time highs are usually on Wednesday for some weird reason. And I will even throw in working open to close (7:00pm to 6:00am).

My donation will be to the Unicef nutrition fund.

Who wants to join me in pledging one little night to charity?

Maybe a personal charity too, like helping a less fortunate friend or family member pay for school expenses, winter clothes, etc.

Yep, my greedy little wallet is gonna be so mad at me. Oh well.

I've done that before. It was part of my fundraising campaign that I was doing for this ferret shelter that I volunteer for.

I was hoping other people would follow, but they didn't. I ended up making $180ish, which was shitty for me, but the shetler was so happy.

I'm writing out a check to Smith College (my alma mater) today. Not a night's earnings, but pretty nice.

I dunno. I donate all year long (basically any time someone sends me an envelope!) I'm not extra giving this time of year.

That's a really wonderful idea. You should be proud. If I was dancing at the moment I would gladly join you. You are really setting a wonderful example of the type of woman who is a dancer.

^^^ That was my Christmas gift to a wonderful friend of mine who is neck-deep in student loans. I made enough on Monday night to make his loan payment for this month, so I did. I thought he was going to cry, and it made me feel so good to be able to help a friend in need during this time of year. I am SO glad that I started dancing!
