Default hyperhidrosis

anyone else around here suffer from this? (i can't be the only one!!)

    how do you deal?

i sweat way too much from my hands/feet.. and underarms but that doesn't bother me as much. (and thankfully i don't have a problem with smelling to go along with it. just sweat)

i want to start dancing, but i think this scares me more than the fact that i have itty bitty titties. i don't want people to think i'm gross i'm also scared to wear anything other than boots. i don't EVER take my socks off since i sweat even more if i do (that's right. i've never worn sandals.. or any open toed shoes..)

i'd like botox but i don't think i can afford that (at least, not until i start dancing).

Personally I use CertainDri for excessive sweating, but I only use it on my underarms so I'm not sure if it's effective anywhere else... but for underarms it has been damn near GODLY... I swear this shit is magic, I don't sweat anymore. When I formerly would be drenched I am now completely bone dry. I'm crazy about it, and one pack (8.99 CDN) has lasted me 3 months already. It's ridiculous!

I know some girls on here use drysol, (? is that what its called?) for hyperhydrosis(sp), so maybe they can help you with that...

    good luck! <3

^^^ I also use Certain Dri on my armpits... you have to follow the directions though.... Don't use too much or it will sting and itch (at least for me) and use it at night before bed... I use a regular deoderant during the day, although I really don't think I need to. I don't know if it works for other parts of the body though.

I'm a bit of a sweaty monster...I'm always covered in sweat after a stage show, that's pretty normal. The guys love it.

My dad has hyperhydrosis, he had electrolysis done on his hands to stop them from sweating so much. I think Botox is more modern and effective though.

drysol never worked for me, i've tried that. haven't tried certain dri though, so that's worth a shot.

i tried the water/electricity thingy before and didn't have much luck either. it was kind of painful and didn't really work .

i take a pill, which helps a bit. (glyccopyrolate i think it is).

as long as the guys don't mind sweaty too much. hah i don't expect to not sweat at all.. i just hate the sweaty hands/feet mostly. they just don't stop!!#% hah

i'd love to have the money to get botox.. unfortunately it's expensive (about $2400ish to get hands and feet done, though i'm still looking around at places) and that lasts about 8 months or so.

Carry a little towel with you (some girls sit on them) that way you can wipe your hands w/ out it being a big deal and boots are fine to wear. Guys seem to like sweat....

Though my feet aren't a problem for me, my hands sweat more than I would like, and my armpits are always wet!

I was using Mitchum. Didn't love it, but it was the best I had found. Some girl on here (Sorry, don't remeber who) started a thread about how she found Be Drier, and it was great! So I bought it just to try, I wasn't expecting much.

Wow is this shit good. Too much and I'm itchy, but it's great! It's very liquidy, so I have to apply a bit and then wait a min for it to dry before putting my shirt on. Since it's so liquidy, it absorbs quick into the palms of my hands too, so no more sweaty palms for me. Sometimes if too much comes out of the bottle when I'm applying it to my underarms and it drips a bit, I'll just wipe it off with my palm and that's enough to keep my hands dry.

    Here it is:

    Hope it works for you!

Oh- and I LOVE that it's a smaller bottle than reg deoderant cause it's easier to always carry around just in case! (Haven't really needed to reapply it, I'm just so used to carrying my doed. around and haven't broken the habit.
