I never thought of myself as one, so I began thinking, maybe it is like body odor. If I was one I wouldn't notice unless someone told me. If you vote yes, I am one, please reference a comment (links and quotes are preferred) I've made that led you to that decision. I won't argue it, unless I feel something is being taken grossly out of context.

There isn't much I can do about that one, now is there? If I'm a moron, I'm kinda stuck with it.

well, if you're a moron, then there's an excuse for your misogyny....kinda like pleading insanity to get off the hook for a crime.

I'm sorry, but I think answering questions regarding the poll itself would taint the results.

    hehe, you said "taint"

I don't think you're a misogynist. I think you an argumentative, self-important douchebag. But that wasn't an option on the poll.

LMAO!! Emily you are too fucken funny

Um, I would think that some of your posts in the Lacrosse thread are what led to the misogynist remark....

Also. I am LMFAO, WAY out loud, at this thread and the fact that my post led you to start this.

You know darn well that I already knew this, at least this time you get to be heard without the thread getting deleted.

    Emily, you fucking rock.

I've liked Lunchbox's contributions in the past, so I don't know what the deal is. I've tried to avoid this section because it would mean getting my ignore list in order. And I'm too lazy to do that

Well, since we ARE in Member Boards, I can actually say that his "Golda Meir quote" pic is a crock of horseshit, since I have Palestinian relatives.

Maybe the Palestinians will stop blowing shit up once the Israeli government stops taking all those pages from the Nazi handbook (ghettoes, a "fence" AKA wall, keeping many Palestinians from their livelihoods, access to medical care and education, secret police raids, and all kinds of other stuff the American Media won't share) and violating the Geneva Convention left and right.

You don't want to fuck with someone that has nothing to lose, and since the Israeli government has systematically ensured that through their treatment of the Palestinians, they have no one to blame but themselves, as much as I disagree with the violence, pain and loss of life on BOTH ends of the conflict.

And yes, unlike Lunchbox if you want to PM me about your opinion on this, be my guest. And before anyone yells "anti-Semite!", I also have Jewish relatives. And many of them agree with me.

Oh, and he's also a misogynist. Wouldn't want to hijack the thread. Tee hee! I said "hijack".

well haven't read the other thread but your sign is a little bizarre, not to mention perhaps needlessly "in your face" for a signature.
Perhaps not occupying a foreign people would help out with the bombings and deciding after 60 years what borders or territory the country wants. (for the record I dislike both groups)

regrading his siggy line- here is some additional reading that shows his position on the subject. I was very bothered by his opinion that Jews against violence were self loathing and stupid. Since when is opposing violence make someone stupid

As for him being a misogynist- I'm not sure as the Duke topic is the first time I have personally encountered anything from him that leans towards possibly being a misogynist. He wasn't completely clear if he was just second guessing stats or if his beliefs were actually similar to that asshole Forcefit..... Because of that I am not going to vote in the poll since there isn't a maybe option.

Post Re: Am I a misogynist?

"Misogynist" is just a term women use for strong men who have the balls and brains to factually disagree with them - being immune to all their emotional ploys. It is an "insult" you should take as a backhanded compliment.
A woman simply is, but a man must become. Masculinity is risky and elusive. It is achieved by a revolt from woman, and it is confirmed only by other men. Manhood coerced into sensitivity is no manhood at all. - Camille Paglia
It is what women call the men whom they love to hate and hate to love...yet cannot resist either...

That said, you are not a true "misogynist." That term just gets thrown around far too loosely like "rape" as a means to short circuit and dodge the facts.

The comments in that thread are clearly not directed at "Jews against violence" for instance I would never say such things about a group doing what those people are doing in Israel, like Peace Now.

Well of COURSE the other misogynist of the day has to run to his defense. And with a Camille Paglia quote, no less Yeah, we didn't see that coming at ALL forcefit

Forcefit, this is about the sickest shit I have ever heard.
I'm sorry, i didn't know RAPE was thrown around lightly... how DARE you state a chauvinistic, non fact-based argument that says women have only emotional ploys to deal with men who are immune to emotion and whose arguments are 100% fact-based. And of course, these men must be STRONg as opposed to the weaker sex who must rely on their feminine wiles because we could never beat our SUPERIOR gender in a debate... what ridiculous horseshit.

The fact that you chose someone's quoted OPINION (and Paglia, at that) to support the definition you wanted to see, instead of using webster's fucking dictionary, just proves what a coward you are that you can't stand to see yourself labeled as you truly are.

Is Lunchbox a misogynist? I haven't paid enough attention to all his posts to tell... I do know he's controversial as hell, likes to provoke, pisses off the nice Jewish girl in me, and starts these threads to amuse/glorify himself. You, on the other hand, are neither strong, factual, nor daring. I second what Bridgette said.... you're a troll, and a pathetic one at that. I'd debate you till the cows come home, matching you argument for argument, quote for quote, and make you WEEP in your exalted patriarchal booties, except that you are totally not worth my time.

Post Re: Am I a misogynist?

    Mistrusting women = misogynist?

Well, by that liberal definition (probably written by a feminist), who ISN'T a "misogynist?" ...Besides 15-yo naive idiots?

Unfortunately, I think 50 years of xxhardcorexx feminism has taught all of you to confuse RESPECT with PATRONIZATION. When they are, in fact, diametric opposites.

A true misogynist gives women preferential treatment and pulls his punches because he secretly believes them to be weaker and inferior. He shows them favor...only in hopes for a piece of their pie. As strippers, you know these motives to be true...which is why you are all misandrists-at-heart who lose another ounce of respect for mankind everytime another dehumanized "custie" tucks another bill in your g-string.

But someone who truly respects women treats them...like a man or any other human. He doesn't pull his punches, but treats them as a worthy "opponent." Respect carries accountability and responsibility with it, not just privilege and entitlement. You can't have one side of the coin without the other. So actually, I respect women like I do any wild, wily animal.

Not so. This would be a passive agressive misogynist. There are plenty of "in your face" misogynists out there and they are no less woman hating than the ones you describe above.

yeah, different levels of misogyny, dude....and please don't speak for strippers and how we feel about men. You are using poor examples to illustrate a non-existant point.

Thank you for providing me with what is possibly the best laugh I've had all week.

You managed the astonishing feat of claiming that "preferential" treatment is truly misogynistic (in your world, is that opening doors for women or paying them an equal wage for the same quality of a job well done, in any field?) and comparing us to wild animals. Down to the inserted photo of a rather feral-looking cat.

Lamictal is an excellent medication for people who not only suffer from depression but who may also have borderline personality disorder. Just sayin'...
