Yes! Wow, I thought that was just one of my weirdnesses. My fav is buildings under construction, but I also love abandoned squats.

Do you mean like this?

Yes exactly... In fact... I am a member on that forum too actually. I lurk.

Yup, I do that sometimes! Used to do it all the time when I was a kid. I liked going into homes that were under construction and pretending that I was grownup and it was my own house.![]()

blah blah blah I make no sense....

I went into houses that were under construction with my mom when I was growing up. We actually went into old houses that were abandoned way more than new houses though. It was fun, because we would try and guess who lived there before we started 'exploring'.
There was a paper mill that closed down about 15 minutes from our house, and when they closed they left a house that they owned totally unlocked. It was the weirdest place ever, because they joined what looked like 2 houses into one. 2 kitchens, 2 living rooms, etc. You could even tell which part was old and which was added on. My mom took me back there a bunch, she liked the rose bushes there and finally took one after the place had been empty for a year or so.
Anybody wanna go find a place to explore?
I used to use houses under construction as hotels...I'd go on these walking trips, and at night would set up in nice beach houses that were bring built. It's really a great way to camp in urban areas, lol.

I always wanted to know if there really was old abandoned subway tunnels under NYC. I remember seeing a sign for some kind of tunnel and a locked gate in Pioneer Square in Portland Oregon.
My friends and I used to do things like this when we were young ...like 8th grade.
We went into one particular abandoned house that unbeknownst to us prior to breaking in, was owned by a satanic man that sacrificed his family there. There was urine and human feces throughout the house, satanic drawings, HUNDREDS of satanic and witchcraft books as well as a 'secret' crawl space going above the breezeway from the house to the garage ....it led to the upstairs of the garag, that was nothing more than some thick plywood placed on top of the beams. Anyways, that seems to have been where he killed his family. There was an altar on the east wall, which according to some of his books is where you're apparently supposed to have your satanic altar.
We ended up going there several times. We only took about 20 books, but in hindsight I wish we had taken all of them. I bet some were worth hundreds of dollars. I recall there were some very old hardcovers that I'm sure I would appreciate more now as an adult.
There is an even bigger twist to this ..... in one of the books that we stole, there was a book-club membership type of card, with the man's name and address on it. Well, my mom found this particular book and found the card, which was yellow and brittle, she freaked out and was crying. She asked how I got it. I lied and said it was one of my friends uncles and that we borrowed it fron his house. I thought she was crying b/c of the content of the book....she's Catholic and it was a devil-worshipping book. But no, she caught me in my lie, b/c it turned out it was her best friends uncle's house that we broke into!! She told me how he killed his wife and two kids and then himself. She showed me the old newspaper article about it. It was crazy. She wasn't very pleased with me, to say the least.
