    Default Little Things, Big Difference

Here are some little things you can do that will really send your look over the edge...

-mastering the technique of applying fake lashes!

    -using a LIGHT body oil!
paying attention to all your curviest parts(butt cheeks, breasts, tummy, thighs); it really accentuates them. (I like Neutrogena's Sesame Seed Body Oil because it is so sheer and light that it only adds sheen to the skin, not grease[/I]

    -accessorize!
Swarovski jewelery placed sparingly on the neck, ears, or wrist of a nude woman is always beautiful. Costume appropriate jewelry as well as body jewelry are fun too.

    -hot lips
deep complexions: using a conealer the same color as your skin used on lips evens out two-toned kisser and provides a beautiful base for creamy, high gloss lipcolor
lighter complexions: use a lipliner the EXACT same shade as your lips to line JUST outside natural lipline and finish with ultimate lip plumping lipgloss (Try Lipfusion sold at Sephora...SO Angelina Jolie)

Who else has some good "cheats"!?
"Did that sum' bitch cut his eyes at me!?"

I agree ^^ great thread idea!

I disagree with using any type of oil whatsoever in the club. Too dangerous if there's a pole. Even if you don't do pole tricks, it's on your hands and you'll invariably touch the pole while on stage and then the next girl who goes up, well she falls down.

Even if there's no pole, but there's floor work involved. Makes floor slippery.

To highlight certain areas of my body (same places you mentioned for the oil), like the tops of breasts, thighs, etc, I would take this shimmery highlighter stuff I got from MAC and use that. It still drew attention to those areas, and since it was powdery, no slippery-ness.

My fave 'cheat' was using the powder I just talked about.

I always kept a curling iron in my bag. The big barrel one. Even though I like using the 1" size, the big one was my 'cheat.' Using it near my roots provided volume without a 'dent' line. If I didn't have time to straighted or curl my wavy hair, I would take big chunks (like 10 for my whole head) and wrap it around the barrel. It would just smooth everything out nicely. Then, if it got slow later on, my hair was already 'primed' to be straightened or curled.

I always kept one of those tinted lip balms from neutrogena in my purse. If I need to do make up super super quick, I would put concealer on under my eyes and on my eyelids. I would then take that to swipe in my eye crease, across each cheekbone for blush and on my lips. Blen a bit, then put on mascara. Done. Less than two min. I'd then build on it later with a deeper colored gloss, eyeshadow just on the lid, and eyeliner.

Oh, and for before I left for work, if my nails weren't done. I would clean em really well, use a white manicure pen on the underside of my nail, and then put one coat of the quickdry shiny top coat. Instant french manicure!! (Though I've tried those avon pre dried nail polish things and I love them!!! Took a few tries to always get it right, but they're awesome!!!)

That's all I can think of for now.

It's like when I got 120 cc's of fat removed from around my belly buton. That little bit went a long way.

I am not being judgemental. However, you seem to be overly excited about constantly getting lipo. Did diet and exercise not work at all?

for an area like that, where it's soooo hard to spot treat by working out, there's nothing wrong with a little help! Also, if you can afford it and it makes you happy, why not?

I see where you're coming from. In my club, we can't do polework or floorwork, so it's not a problem. But as always, safety first!

I love fake eyelashes, I wear them at work and out to clubs

    For me:

    cocoa butter everyday
    Vichy facial products
    Olive oil hair treatments
Light foundation and eyeliner (when I'm running around)
    Lip gloss
Mac highlighter powder - I love this stuff cuz it lasts forever

    Forgot to add:
Healthy diet for me too! - lots and lots of greens

People always tell me I glow even when I don't have anything shimmery on. I think it is because of all the veggies I eat.

I like it and I can pay for it so who cares. Do what makes you feel good. I can't care what others think when I have to be sure of myself.

That's a big contradiction, I mean aren't you on a current thread talking about your bulemia (rhetorical). You DO CARE, or you wouldn't be purging.

Oh wait, next you'll tell me its your self image, and not what you think others see.

    Oy!

Like someone eluded to/stated earlier, the thread is called "Little Things...."

Judging by what the OP listed, we ain't talking about lipo here.

And for the record, I have nothing against Lipo or PS. Your "poster-childiness" is just alarming. You bring it up when NOBODY IS TALKING ABOUT LIPO!

Next you'll be listing lipo in threads like.."Things I do after a tough night at work". "Things I do after a great night at work", "What I like to do after anal sex" etc.

    You look fine, chill!

I'd do it if I could, too. I'm not sure if I'd consider it a 'little thing that makes a big difference', but I get it. It may seem like a bit much, but it doesn't sound like she's using that as her only 'diet' regime. She does seem to take care of herself in general.

Pedicured feet---can be done right at home with a skin shaver thingie, foot callous remover lotion, and sleeping overnight with tea tree oil lotion and socks. Pair that with some nice polish and you can't imagine the compliments you'll get. And doing it yourself saves a bundle.

Ditto on the fingernails. Soften hands in soapy water, push the cuticles back, and get some nippers like they use in the salon. I like my polish to match the toes and I like red. It's a little bit of upkeep because I can't stand a chip, but it is a little thing that guys have noticed time and again.

Eyebrows--If shaped properly (I prefer threading), they can do a huge amount of improvement in the way your eye makeup looks and really your whole face. It's amazing how good eyebrows can make a look, and I have actually had men compliment my eyebrows. It's amazing the things they notice.

Smoothly shaved skin--I use Skintimate shave gel and a fresh razor and then slather on vitamin E oil and cocoa butter after I get out of the shower. Guys constantly tell me how soft my skin is.

These are all things you might not notice if they are done well, but if they are neglected they stand out like a sore thumb. When you are a dancer the details matter, and they do a world of good for your own confidence. Even if no one else knows it, you do, and that can make your night.

Lol, red lips and eyeliner turn me into a pin-up model, not a stripper! I end up being a really classy lady like that... maybe it's the pale/black hair thing.

I looooove Swarovski.. you go girl!

The right colour blush can accent more than your face, as well.

ya, blush/bronzer is not only good for a little extra oomph in the chest, but it can make your tummy look way better (slimmer, defined abs)

I've got pale skin and dark hair as well, but I pull off the pinup look at work somewhat.... I like to think of myself as a classy stripper... hehe

I get a lot of compliments on my skin. I'm a freak about blemishes, and smoothness. Lots of moisturizer, exfoliation, and potions to reduce any kind of break out. Also, it's a trick to moisturize in a way that will not slip up the pole/floor.

-I agree with the lotions for skin-I am freakishly aware of skin-its gotta be soft, shimmery and smooth. I am unable to tan so I use the Daily Glow stuff (Vaseline is my favorite, Dove streaked too much) I also use shimmer powder.
-Crest White Strips and a travel tooth brush.
-I only use a certain scent at work. As soon as I put it on, I am in 'work mode.' It helps get me in the right head space after a long day at my other job. I was cleaning out my bag the other day and I accidentally sprayed it and the smell kinda through me off it was so out of place for me.
-Our shifts for dancing are 6 hrs, for waitressing (I do both) are 8 hrs so I am currently a huge stinking fan on Dr Scholl's inserts. You can cut them to fit slinky heels or shove them into boots.
-Waterproof Mascara. I move around alot on stage and I sweat. Without this happy little invention? I would look like a raccoon. Of course, its a bitch to remove.
