    Default Were you a geek?

I hope I put this in the right thread.

Anyway, my friend and I were talking the other day and I got to hear that the two geekiest girls in her elementary class went off to become strippers. I'm the same, I was the most lame girl in the whole class. I know other strippers that have the same story.

Basically, I'm wondering if there is a connection. Were you a geek?

Was and always will be a geek.

I'm the StarWarsWatching, ATVRiding, SwordCollecting, ComicBookReading, BurpingContestWinner type of geek.

    And I'm proud of it.

I completely agree with all the aforementioned statements, they are alive and kicking in me still. Aslo I dont have an obsession with ATV's unlike the rest, but I still do it on occasion. I will add a couple ones:

    RPG Videogame playing
Obsessed with Buffy the Vampire Slayer (tv series not the movie)
    Biggest WWE (wrestling) fan
    Harry potter lover as well...
    Emo fan

I am a big ol' fucking dork, but it has won me over other girls to custies in the past, some of them LOVE a dorky girl!

Oh yeah. Went to the Star Wars movies in full costume, and went to Space Camp twice. Wanted to be an astronaut when I was little, a mission specialist. Had a telescope and stayed up until the wee hours to watch meteor showers. Begged the English teacher to assign more papers. And of course, coke-bottle glasses!

Well, I used the telescope for other things. But you can also get a better view of a meteor shower with a telescope, especially on a starry night. My eyesight is not the best.

I dunno....maybe having a bachelor's in computer science and being a systems engineer for a few years qualifies me.

Whatcha mean was a geek? I still am! Tho' in those days I didn't really consider or embrace my geek-ness.... these days I am wiser and do accept it.

I definately was not most "unlikely" to ever turn to the adult entertainment industry in my opinion. If my future self now told my teenage/young 20s self that I would be doing what I do now... I would laugh and totally not believe it.

I used to play dungeons and dragons in middle school.

Then I started playing sports and going to parties and found our about girls and stuff like that.

BUt there's a part of me that still like Star Trek, Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, etc.

From the womb, I was conceived into eternal geekdom; this mark doesn't come off in the shower. Though I have tried to escape with a pair of liberal arts degrees, I am destined to remain in the hallowed halls of IT forever. The Geek is strong in this one...except anime--I must have missed that day at the academy, because I just don't get the appeal.

Ahem...I believe I have just failed to save against charm here. What's the penalty?

Natural transition. There is definitely something geeky about grinding on a strange guy's lap.

I was definatley one of the less popular girls in school. Couldn't get a date if my life depended on it! I never really harboured any "geek traits" either...it was soely a looks thing. Now I would only say the nerdiest thing with me is my old coin collection and my obsession with Pac-Man!

I was one of those semi-geeks.... where I was cool but I just wasn't 100%.

I dress up for comicon, I play videogames for hours each day, WoW for hours each day, I read mangas, I love every Harry Potter book like it was my first born child.

Plus I like to party hang out with friends, but not that much. I'd MUCH rather stay at home with my geek outlets.

Oh, plus my glasses are at least 1/4 inch thick.

still am..I'm just a naked geek now.
People always ask me, did I ever learn anything when I was a stripper? Yeah, I did. One man plus two beers equals 20 dollars.

Who knew there were so many strippergeeks! Very cool discovery. I call myself a geek all the time. I try to round it out with some athleticism but the geek usually takes over.

This is so accurate. I was a total geek at school, really shy and awkward, not many friends, no boyfriends. Never in their wildest dreams would anyone from school think I'd be a stripper now.
