Default A Christmas card with a curse - over the U.S. Kelo Supreme Court case.

While I can understand her being quite upset, despite receiving a good chunk of extra cash beyond the appraised value of her house and land, why a curse? And delivered as a Christmas card to boot!

"Magna Carta, We Hardly Knew You."

I hope the curses work. No one should be able to steal your home.

"It's amazing anyone could be so vindictive when they've made so much money," said Schwenker-Mayer on Tuesday, after receiving her card.
That person just doesn't get it. As if money makes everything okay, as if a lifetime of memories can have a price put on it. Sure, many people use their homes as an investment that they live in, but there are also people that refuse to put a price on their home.

A home can become a piece of a person's heart. It is a part of their identy and their personality. What kind of price does one place on his/her health or emotional well being? What kind of price does one put on his/her sanity? What kind of price does one put on his/her soul?

If a person thinks the value of a home lies simply in what it will fetch on the open market, they are sorely mistaken. Places like Home Depot and Lowe's didn't become mega businesses because folks are merely interested in increasing the monetary value of their homes. People pour their blood, sweat and tears into their homes, and that is priceless.

How much would you sell your beloved pet for? Anyone?

Promote yourself and earn more money! This is a business that is owned by strippers for strippers. Let's make that money!

What kills me is that everybody's just going, "Oh, it wasn't personal." Like that makes it okay. It was personal to HER, because it was HER fucking house!

It was her house, which is why most other people don't think it's a big deal. If it was their house that was about to be bought out from under them their thoughts on the subject would change. Getting money does not make everything better when you have been wronged, some people just don't get that. Poor lady.
