So as most of you know, I am a retired dancer. Hubby and I havent been to a strip club in ages so tonight we decided lets go hit a few. Ahhhh yes, the infamous "couple" in the club. But we had money to spend and wanted to find a dancer to spend it on. The first club we went in to we left within thirty mins after getting in there. There was a dancer on stage when we came in. Way over weight. She finished and left. I saw one other dancer sitting with a custie. One other dancer sitting at the bar getting trashed. NO HUSTLE anywhere. Never saw another dancer go on stage. There were about maybe 20 guys in the bar total. No one being approached at all, and some obviously waiting and hoping for someone to come talk to them. It was sad and bordered on pathetic. So we left.
On to the next club. This one pretty much kept someone on the stage at all times and there were some very pretty ladies there. We stayed for about 2 hours. It was topless but damn the beaver was flying in peep shots everywhere. Not one dancer talked to us or approached us. Like we had a disease or something. There were more dancers than custies so a few were just sitting around. I was disappointed no one even tried. Hell the majority never even made eye contact. Those that did, I smiled at in hopes of appearing at least friendly but no, no one came over. I just kept thinking WTF is wrong with these girls. Even after tipping a few on stage, still no one. So I continued to watch each girl on stage. Apparently it has been awhile and the days when I danced truly are the days of your because hardly any of these girls really danced. I danced when you really danced, and your time on stage was a SHOW. Most of them spent their time sitting on the edge of the stage trying to do as many beaver shots as they could to bleed the guys on pervert row out of any singles they might of had. They did 3 song sets yet most were topless within the first 10 seconds of the first song. WTF!! No artistry to it at all anymore. So after 2 hours, hubby and I were like you know, fuck it. Time to go home. I stopped one dancer on our way out and gave her $40, told her this is for you to thank you, because your the ONLY one who actually danced when you were on stage. She thanked me and gave me a hug and we left. And the remaining $460 came back home with us in my purse. How sad that if just one person had bothered to come up and talk to us, they would have made good money off us. Bottom line is, as a couple, we want you to come to us, we dont want to have to come to you. When I danced I danced for couples quite a few times. I would always at least approach their table and say hello then play it from there if they were receptive or not. But I at least tried and acknowledged they were there. When I danced, I wanted your money, didnt matter if you were a guy or a couple. And if you were willing to give it to me I was more than willing to take it, and the only way you'll ever know if someone is willing or wants to do that is to APPROACH them and ASK. This whole night was just unreal!!!
K... done with my rant now... even though I'm still shaking my head....
