    Default Real Name Tattoos

How many of you have your real name tattoo'ed visibly? If so, did you get it before or after you started dancing? If after, how does it work with your stage name?

I ask because at this one place I go to, girls have their real names (1) in large script on their back; (2) on their shoulder; (3) on their UPA. All quite visible depending on the particular move and/or circumstance. Which made me wonder, what's the point of a stage name?

    UPA may refer to:
"He will come in one of the pre-chosen forms. During the rectification of the Vuldrini, the traveler came as a large and moving Torg! Then, during the third reconciliation of the last of the McKetrick supplicants, they chose a new form for him: that of a giant Slor! Many Shuvs and Zuuls knew what it was to be roasted in the depths of the Slor that day, I can tell you!"

I have my name tattooed on my body...I got it WAY before I started dancing. I have my first name tattooed above my belly button and my middle name below it. Hardly any custies even ask me about it, that or they cant read it(?!?!)because its in scripty cursive. They will say "So who's Echo Amaris" and usually I will just go along with whatever they say..."is that your kids name?" Sure. "Is that your girlfriends name?" Sure. Sometimes I just say its sound/looked pretty so I got it, or I liked the meaning of the names. Echo is a part of greek mythology not a very glamorous part but they dont know shit so I can BS it into meaning something "deep" to me...haha and Amaris means "gods promise"...
But mostly I just lie my way around it...
Once someone actually thought it said "Bob"...WTF? Echo has 4 letters! He asked me who Bob was and I said "I dont know who IS Bob?" and he said "you have it tattooed on your stomach". OH MY GOD. I got called Bob by a couple of my friends for about a week. haha

Yes, 2 of them have different stage names than what their tattoos say.

1 of them told me her tattoo was her last name. My only question had been "what does your tattoo say?" -- this one was kind of hard to read. I wasn't asking her name. Unsolicited, she said it was her last name, then told me her real 1st name too.

    It's only her 3rd week.

And they tell people it's their name? How strange..... I'd come up with a decent story, like echo said.

sounds like she's a keeper! LOL...

Seriously, stripping gets a bad reputation, partly because of girls like this. Also, what does that say about the staff, that she wasn't told not to do this? But these types weed themselves out pretty quickly, thankfully.

    They haven't actually told me.

But when your stage name is Delight, and you have "Melissa" blazing across your back, and it's your only tat, it doesn't exactly take Sherlock Holmes.

I have never undertood why anyone would ge their name tattooed on them. Are you in danger of forgetting it at somepoint?

I never understood the whole tattoo thing. Hell, I never understood personalized license plates.

I'm never sure that anything that I think is clever or interesting will still seem clever or interesting in another ten minutes, much less ten years.

Maybe it works for those with a longer attention span.

I have my husbands name as an upper arm band. Is that a no no to work in a club??? I have found it easy to cover with things like arm bracelets or something simple like a scrunci. My tramp stamp is so ummmm UNIQUE though I doubt anyone will notice the name band on my arm.

You're real name is Echo??How cool!!!

A friend of mine has her husbands name tatooed on her back....right under a tat of a kitty cat. So she just says it's her cats name. Every guy just lets it drop after that.
People always ask me, did I ever learn anything when I was a stripper? Yeah, I did. One man plus two beers equals 20 dollars.

Hey! I have my name tattooed on my arm for that exact reason! I do forget my name sometimes and I am offended that you would make light of such a serious problem!

I used to work with girl who got her fience's name tattooed on her.....they'd been seeing eachother the same length of time. And he was nasty. 350lbs, a super wigger. Winded up in jail b/c he pulled a gun in a noghtclub. wow, she sure knew how to pick 'em..... Of course, the same girl got fired b/c she was bragging to the house mom about how she bought some X from a custy. It was literally, a "see mom!" moment.

I'd probably say it was my girlfriend-- I always play the lesbian card.

If not, I'd just say it was my childhood best friend's name. either we both got each other's names done, or she died tragically.
