Default Home alone on new years and liking it

OK...I'm officially a nerd. I am home alone on New Years Eve. It's not for lack of options, I just prefer SW and my couch to all of the madness....

    Nut's ,right?

New Year's is a time of renewal and hope!! I don't like to hear of anyone spending it alone. For good measures, I got a BIG GIANT dose of hope and faith in a big ole champagne glass this year, and I'm willing to share it with anyone who wants to believe!

Here's to 2007... thank GOD we are all alive, healthy, and having a great life!

i stayed home with my parents and my boyfriend. im not into new years eve. it's my mum's bday on NYE so i prefer to spend it with her.
i don't like crowds so id rather avoid the whole thing.
i just had a nice dinner, watched some dvds and fell asleep.

I stayed home alone as well. I enjoyed it. My bf and I did take a drive to watch the fireworks, but after facing the madness of the las vegas strip for new years before, I woudl be happy to never do that again in this life. Its MUCH nicer to watch from afar, than to be in a mob with 30,000 other people.

Normally I'm very much a homebody and I don't like to go out very often. But the boyfriend is out of town and I was feeling too lonely to stay home by myself on NYE, so I tagged along with friends. I was kind of a fifth wheel because they were two couples, but we had a great time. At midnight everybody at the table exchanged hot French kisses with everyone else.

I stayed home too. I bought some filet mignon and grilled it. Then had it with some red wine of which I didnt even finish 2 whole glasses. I watched the countdown with my cat Boo Boo. With all the gun shots, bottle rockets and other illegal shooting activities it was good to know he was safe and sound with me inside.

I was just waiting so impatiently for 2007 to be here and yes it is because I have big plans!

I was alone too!!!! My boyfriend went out to party (with my blessings) while I stayed home with the baby. I was a little bummed and jealous, cause come midnight I was nursing my baby and thinking about him out partying. But can't complain, my baby girl is the best thing in my world, so thank you 2006 and I can't wait to see what happens in 07.

Me and Mr. Wayward dressed up for each other, watched a movie, and ate grilled cheese sandwiches. It was awesome. This was the first NYE since 2001 that we weren't out of town somewhere so it was novel for us.

Celebrate however you want! It's amateur night, remember, and very few of us are amateurs.

No way!!! I did the same thing. I was in bed by 1am for the first time in weeks.

They say NYE is for amateurs...all the accidents on 95 after Thxgiving and xmas made me so glad to stay off the roads.

Staying home (or in the Dorm) wasn't so bad. I didn't miss the crowds, prices, illegal sobriety check points, and the hang over. I would like to have seen some friends of mine except I am snowed in!

You're certainly not nuts. I ended up going to a little party (against my initial instinct to stay home and hang out with the bf) and boy do I regret it. I had a shitty new year's eve, fought with bf and went home by myself. At this point, I technically don't even know if I HAVE a bf to speak of. To make matters more annoying, I'm somewhat superstitious about things and this is NOT how I wanted 2007 to start. 2006 started with bad things happening, and I had a terrible year overall, so I hope it's not some kind of pattern.
