What are they offering or asking for?
"He will come in one of the pre-chosen forms. During the rectification of the Vuldrini, the traveler came as a large and moving Torg! Then, during the third reconciliation of the last of the McKetrick supplicants, they chose a new form for him: that of a giant Slor! Many Shuvs and Zuuls knew what it was to be roasted in the depths of the Slor that day, I can tell you!"

It's my understanding that when they call you back to AD, they don't shit around with letters, and would send official orders directly.

If you are still active reserve dont you know anyone in your command you can call ? This really isnt the place to get advice for this you could get yourself in a lot of bad shit if its official and you dont respond . Go through the proper channels . Let us know what happens . Good luck

    Try here:

    http://www.globalsecurity.org/milita...y/usar-irr.htm

From what I can remember from a convo with a friend, if your in the IRR they can call you back to active duty if they have a need to. This is for the entire period of time your listed as IRR. Hope your not infantry.

call a recruiter or an IRR rep in another state while blocking your phone number if you're that anxious about bringing extra attention on yourself.

    1. You have been identified as having a remaining contractual obligation with the United States Army Reserve. You will need to contact me ASAP to discuss your transfer back to a a Troop Program Unit within a 50 radius or your home of record.

    2. If you should fail to contact me your record will be updated in the RMS (Retention Management Software) and will be reviewed by HRC St. Louis for possible call to active duty.

It's a bit vauge for my tastes, and I really would rather get as much info as possible before I call. My friend of the same MOS/rank, last duty station, who got out only a month after me, has received no such letters as this, or had a Career Counselor contact him, at all.
All it demands is that you contact them. Do that. Tell them hell NO. Then you are home free. If you should be Activated as an Individual Ready Reserve you will be sent written orders telling you when and where to report to. Copy the letters and send them to your Congressman. Your Career Counselour is being deceptive and threatening. I got the same thing. I dealt with them through an hotmail account ONLY. I had issues with them using my full name and Email address in mass mailings. I forced them to stop by one continuing up the their Chain of Command and Two by showing them How stuping it is to use your full name and personal Cell number in you emails.

Lets say they did not like recieving a detailed financial, residential, criminal, and credit history check on them selves mailed to them. Cost me some money but I have never heard from tem since.

I have 18 Months in IRR left.

In paragraph 1, They are offering you an opportunity to join the active reserves.

    http://www.usarc.army.mil/retn/RTD/selres_ov.htm

    Basically, it's a recruitment letter.

You don't need to respond. You can call and tell him no (or yes) , if you want, but it doesn't change anything.

What you are being told in paragraph 2 is true whether you call them or not. Until you fulfill your Military Service Obligation (8 years from your original date of enlistment), you can potentially (not likely) be recalled to active duty.

Obviously, acive reserves are more likely to be called to active duty than the IRR.
