    Default sparkle-knit dresses/gowns?

I've exhausted my resources--did a search and went through the whole thread on where to find dancer gear, googled around, asked people at my club...no dice.

I really want some dresses made of what's usually called "sparkle knit" or "glitter knit" material--it's basically glittery lycra. Not lycra with rhinestones sewn on, and not the shiny "wet look" finish that wears off after you've worn it for an hour (found plenty of that ). It's just lycra that's either glittery all over, or has the glitter on the fabric in patterns or design shapes.

Anyone know where I can find this type of dress?

exactly! But the dresses linked in the replies to that post aren't the same thing at all.

I guess I could have something custom made if necessary, but I thought for sure there would be something like that already available!

You can get similar/same fabric on fabric.com.

The photos aren't the best, but I'm pretty sure that's what you want.

That knit-in sparkle is often called "Lurex" so you may want to search for that.

really? hmmm....do you have any samples of things you've made? I think a PM (and perhaps some business) will be forthcoming

I have good design ideas, but NO patience for sewing. I mean NONE. Maybe getting some costumes custom-made is the way to go.

I posted in the thread "Looking for this dress" about the same thing. It's properly called GLITTER SLINKY fabric. The fabric is called slinky, it comes with and without glitter and has a good weight and lots of stretch. I've used that fabric a lot and you also need to be aware that it sheds glitter like crazy!
