    Default A workout without tools?

    Hey there. I'm a Newbie to this site, and I want to start dancing..But I also want to tone up alot before hand. I'm 5'8 and 140 lbs..But its because I have big hips and bones are heavy!! haha.
    I don't have any problems with actual body weight, and I'm confident in it because even though I weigh alot, I don't look it...Although I do need to tone up.
    I don't drive as of right now, so a gym isnt an option (I live out in the country, no gyms anyways!)
    I was wondering if anyone knew any good excersizes that I could do without needing alot of space (tiny room) or equipment? I know I can start doing sit-ups, but I don't know of anything to tone up my legs, arms and butt that doesnt require me buying a lot of stuff. Has anyone got any idea's for things i can do using stuff around my house? Any help would be greatly appriciated!

    Yep, I second what Pamela said. If you don't mind spending a little bit of money, invest in a good pilates dvd, or a combo dvd (like one with 3 or 4 routines of different sorts). You can get them for under 20 bucks, and they're very helpful. Good luck

    if your looking for a good combination work out try putting on some good workout music and cleaning your house, include everying from dusting on, at a faster than normal speed. brings up the heart rate and if you have stairs make lots of trips up and down. I do steps a lot makes the legs and butt look better.

    Awsome! I don't have any steps in my house but we have alot of water jugs, so that should be easy to come by! now do you guys know what can tone up that annoying flab that most people have on the under side of their upper arms? Thats the bit that needs the most with me.

    ^pushups, arm curls (with a water bottle/can), pullups (if you have anything you can use)... also, an exercise where you face away from a couch/chair, put your palms on it, and lift your body. Losing body fat (not necessarily weight) will help, and make the new muscle you gain show through better.
