as we all know, there are PLENTY of reasons to dislike dancing these days (esp. in certain areas). customers are (in general) more disrespectful , are spending less money and are looking for more extras. this last week was no exception for me. i had one horrible customer after another. don't get me wrong, my club is great. i love most of the staff and they deal with problems right away. it's the best club i've worked at, and -still- guys are acting this way. anyway, in the middle of one of my worst shifts (because i dealt with so many assholes) i meet a guy who was respectfull, cool to talk to, and just all around a "dying breed" right now. he didn't spend a ridiculous ammount. i made about 100 dollars from him, but that's not what matters. of course the fact that he actualy spent money is important and i'd like to make as much as possible, but it's not everything. i can tell you this. he got the most (within legal limits) i could give him for his money. he was a REAL gentleman. it's sad that he stands out so much in my mind right now, but that's how it is. when he was leaving i thanked him for making my shift a lot better. he was from out of town, so i probably won't see him again. to all of you guys who are similar ........ thank you. seriously. thank you for not following the current trend in disrespecting and harassing dancers. thank you for understanding that this is our job. most importantly, thank you for taking us seriously as women and as professionals. sure, there are some dancers who don't exude "professional" but thank you for paying attention to those of us who work hard for your money. dancing for those types of guys is actualy ENJOYABLE. i -want- to dance for them and i want them to have a great time.
imagine that.
and, no, he wasn't "hot"........... but he WAS clean and dressed decently.
