    Default Aaah! Nerves...

I'm going to try and audition at some clubs tomorrow... I was going to start in Vegas but my parents backed out of helping me move so I'm going to need to save some money before I move... hence, dancing in my hometown instead. I don't know if this is normal but honestly, I'm scared sh*tless... I know I bring an outfit to audition in but what do I wear into the club... nice heels, skirt, pants? Also, I need to FIND an outfit that will look good, where should I look in Dallas, any stores you recommend? Help me please or just anything to calm my nerves... if possible? Thanks

In Dallas try Electric Boutique and patty Love (next to each other) on Northwest Highway and I 35 and Just for Play same road, across from Dallas Jentlemen's club, I also heard Men's Club has a boutique. There is another Electric Boutique location somewhere on Greenville, but I've never been there. Good luck!

Keep in mind not all clubs in Dallas allow booty shorts. You may want to bring a skirt/dress with you just in case.

It's normal to be scared at first. Its a daring job that requires nerve, and that means....well....being nervous! But we've all been in our shaky heels, wondering if we're cut out for the job, dropping the pen as we fill out our application and wanting to run out of the door. I was just in that position less than a few months ago. But if you are sure that you feel comfortable in your skin, talking to strangers, and more importantly - expressing yourself through nudity in front of strangers, then the nerves will become excitement, the excitement will become motivation, and motivation will become your paycheck. Its perfectly normal to be scared, just don't let the fear stop you from reachin your goals, like with anything.

None of the dresses I tried on fit me right.... and the skirts didn't cover my butt. Do you think I could just get a plain black miniskirt from the mall? I'm trying not to go for really upscale (the Lodge won't see my big behind for awhile, at least!) but not dives, either.

Thanks, Pooka, I feel a lot more excited now that I've got everything together... still nervous of course but wow... I'm looking forward to tomorrow hehe.

If your not trying to go for "upscale" (although, in my opinion earning potential is higher in an upscale enviroment) than just go with what you have. Worst case scenrio-- they'll let you audition in booty shorts and tell you, you can work on the floor until you get a gown. or house mom or one of the girls can lend/rent you one. (neither which is likely to happen if your not going for "upscale.")

If it makes you feel better, my first audition, WAS A DISASTER. I couldn't get my dress off, I fell over while trying to get up from floor work and hit my head on the stage. --- Its been almost 2 years since that happened and i LOVE what I do. Justs remember however bad or inexperienced you THINK you look--management has probably seen (and possibly hired) much much worse.

and hey, at least your boobs are big!!! HAHAHA. good luck hun! let us know how it goes

Hehe carmen, that gave me a good laugh... thanks lol. I'm just gonna go with what I have tonight, on top of everything I started my period today and I'm not in the mood to care, really. I've got to shave, do my hair, then head out to find some makeup and get a pedi and eyebrow wax. Then I'll be set for tonight... yikes! I'm excited but whew, hope I don't chicken out. <3 to all, I'll let you know how I do!

After a string of personal disasters this week, I finally got to the clubs tonight. A few took my app, one couldn't find the manager, and the last one hired me as a waitress. The manager said I have to get my TABC certification then I can work tomorrow night. I'm doing it online right now. It may not be exactly where I wanted to be but it's a good start and I can observe people. So.. first night of work is tomorrow, knock on wood nothing else will go wrong ^^. Wish me luck!
