Awww make sure you take pics. I have fond memories of me and my younger sister both pink dotted in calamine lotion.

I think you should try oatmeal baths, and ice baths. Also, make her wear some type of glove/covering over her hands so that she doesn't scratch. I'll try to find more remedies online for you.

Oatmeal baths help a lot, and calamine lotion. Definitely don't let her scratch - when I had chicken pox, my mother put socks on my hands and made sure I knew I was not to take them off. So even if I couldn't help it and tried to scratch, my fingernails couldn't scrape off the blisters.

You might also try giving her Benadryl or a quarter-pill of Dramamine (NOT a whole pill!!) so she can sleep through as much as possible. Check with her pediatrician first but I'm sure she'd rather sleep than be awake and miserable.

Oatmeal baths are probably the best thing though.

Oatmeal baths and Benadryl are the best! My middle daughter had it so bad she had them inside her mouth and ears and nostrils as well as the head to toe covering.

Don't worry, it'll be over before you know it.

Aww, I had it pretty bad, I was seven, and I had at least 479 (I counted that many!). I had them between my toes, down my throat, in my ears, on my scalp, and on (and inside) my vagina and anus. I was 7. I couldn't go to the br w/out lots of pain, so I was given a script for a painkiller so I could go... My mom let me itch the ones on my scalp, so you can actually feel scars thee, but I'm pick free on my body.

to the op- if your baby has pox on her scalp, you could let her get her itch on there, b/c scars don't matter! I remember the relief!

Yup, sound like how my Rachel had it. She didn't complain outside of the itching though. No pain, just itchies.

I thought they gave kids shots for it now so no one ever has to go thru it.
