Default Im not flexible! Hep me on the floor!

I have been dancing for about 6 months now and i feel i have come to a rut... i am a good dancer in general and decent with the pole, but i am NOT flexible. The club i work at expects at least a little bit of floor work, but i can not even touch my toes, let alone sit in the splits and wiggle my ass, or wrap my legs behind my head! Im a very energetic stripper and i find floor time weighing down my routine... any one know some floor moves i can do that look sexy or unique and dont involve pulled muscles?

Hi.....I am currently teaching a floor class to one of the SW girls. Most floor work involves prep work...ie stretches. there are multiple moves you can do on the floor without actually being flexible!

    This I know...and I teach it!!! LOL!

www.polejunkies.com if you are interested...most of the site is about poledancing, but I do offer online classes for floor, lap dance, air dance, burlesque, and choreographied dance!

Maybe you should make it a point to stretch everyday. Since you are THAT inflexable I would suggest strethcing as soon as you get up in the morning and before you go to bed. During slow nights, be sure to get in a few stretches before you go on stage to limber up a bit. It takes time to gain flexability but it should work. Start with simple things like touching your toes ans stuff. Then work up to harder stuff like the splits.

I went onto your site and I don't see info on online classes. It says coming soon?
Am I missing something? I would be interested in online classes.

Suggest you start taking yoga classes. Once you learn some routines you can do it on your own. If there aren't any classes near you there are lots of good books that can show you basic positions. Yoga will not only help you become more flexible, it will also help you to improve your posture and become more graceful, both of which will make you more attractive on and off stage.
