Default wanting to put on a great birthday

My wife and I have normal parties once a month. Usually its a lot of friends of ours just sitting around drinking and just having fun. We have frequented clubs with our friends often so they are used to our antics. What I wanted to ask though is instead of going out, why not bring it home? What should we look for in a private dance and what should we expect (literally and financially). What would you recommend as being the best way of "hiring" talent for the occasion?

    many thanks in advance

Well, I would go through a private party service. I don't know about in south Carolina, but in Virginia they have agencies that will pick girls for you depending on the kind of party, what you are looking for, etc. If that doesn't work, go through an escourt service. That is the next best thing.

I agree, start calling agencies in your area. If you are rural, it will be more expensive than if you are urban. The standard rate for strippers in the US is somewhere in the neighborhood of $200 per hour per dancer. There are regional differences, but that is good starting point.

Have the guests prepared to tip the dancers. I offer a good rule of thumb being $20 in singles per guest plus any additional the guests wish to tip for items like bush beers or whipped cream races etc.

Try to get personal references from other customers, and ask for specific dancer names. You can insist on picking your dancer by photo alone, but that can be a very deceptive method of picking the best dancer for your party. There are some great photoshop methods to make a photo of a dancer look amazing. When she arrives, she may just be so-so. In other cases, some of the girls only have candid shots or cell phone photos, but really are amazing live and in person. Besides, it is really hard to tell a person's attitude from a photograph.

I book a dancer regularly that has some really stunning photos. She is extremely photogenic and gets booked every weekend for at least 2-3 parties. However, she has a crappy attitude. She will dance for 15-20 minutes (when booked for an hour) then just sit on her ass and drink or smoke. Then she gripes to the customers about how she needs money for this or that bill, basically, all the kinds of things that you are staying out of the club to avoid.

I've had customers get in my face over issues like that. I would try to let them know that the dancer they are requesting isn't going to "role play" as a cop/nurse/school girl or whatever. As a matter of fact, they'd be lucky if she actually takes her clothes off. But they insist on getting the girl in the photo! I hate sending one-on-one type dancers to huge parties.

So, when requesting dancers ask to see photos, but... Also ask the agent how she is with big groups, does she have a fun attitude? Is she willing to embarrass the b-day boy? Does she offer anything special like bringing a portable pole?

Having a dancer that just does lap dances or one-on-one types of shows may be what you are looking for, so be sure and ask about that as well.

Does the agency take a deposit to secure you reservation? If not you may be left high and dry with out a dancer. The agency will be more likely to fulfill requests if they are going to have to deal with refunding deposits back to customers due to no-show strippers. It costs the agency money for each credit card or paypal transaction and it costs them again when they have to refund money back to the client. The credit card companies take something like 4-10% of the total plus $1-5 per transaction (whether it is a credit or debit card. also the business is charged for sales and refunds).

I wrote an article about how to throw a bachelor party with strippers. Click here!
