    Default Wedding Tax Write Offs?

Because this is the only place I know this will be answered...

If I invite my agents to the wedding on the basis of creating a relationship with them into my personal life so they create more of a preference for me in the work-world... are the expenses I spend on them a tax write-off?

I love my agents don't get me wrong (and Mild, I actually want you there, lol! Not an agent thing!) but there's a couple I feel I could get on the really good side of if I showed them I was open to sharing my joyous moments with... kinda like, making them feel special? I dunno.... I -do- want them there, it would be nice.. but for some of them it's more business than pleasure. I would probably even talk work a little bit. I kinda see it as a... what's the word... way to connect? Not quite it but I wasn't sure.

Either way, I was thinking it'd be a nifty way to write off some of that damn expensive wedding.

In order to write something off as a legitmate tax deduction it must be able to show that it helps you produce/increase your income as a result of it. I really highly doubt you could tho' Morr.......unfortunately.

Plus, honestly, do you really want to speak about work or anything in relation to work on such a special day ? I personally would have a strict rule that this is personal, not business, and thus I am not there as a stripper nor to speak about the industry in any way during the event as it is such a special moment in one's life (imo).

The only way you can write anything off in re: the wedding is if you could possibly use it in other ways however I doubt you would be willing to use your wedding dress and/or lingere for shows (or even modelling) ??

In the end, ask your accountant. I pasted the name and address of one in the FOR AUSTRALIANS thread here in Dollar Den

Lol, actually... the photos are going to be used for promotions and selling of prints.. they're being done by the lovely Eye Candy, like the corset ones.

Maybe I CAN write some off...lol.

huh.........could you use the wedding as a modeling opportunity? you'd probably only want to deduct 25%- 50% of the cost, but you might be able to make it fly to increase your portfolio or that of the photographer.

Any way to do product placement?
Have your florist/dressmaker/caterer knock off part of the price for having an ad on the back of your wedding announcement or the little wedding procession of events flyer (I'm thinking like they have at catholic masses.)

We're already knocking off prices... my photographer is doing it for promotions she knows I give... my dress maker cut 75% off the price for the same deal...

I'm already cutting back otherwise... I was just curious.
