She is breastfed and it seems like those are the worst stains....a lot of her clothes are yellow in back and im upset because they are cute clothes ruined. I know they make some product, but whats the best home treatment?

Those stains are pretty permanant if I remember correctly (breastfed three kids). I'd give Oxyclean a shot. Try soaking everything stained in it for a looooooong time.

Sirona's right. Unfortunately, they very rarely come out. Hunter has only had a few things that he's leaked on, but after trying everything to get them out, I ended up just tossing them out.

Actually, I have to say, I've had some really good luck getting stains out. If I catch them really quick - I douse them in a stain remover, I have a "natural" type one and also just a regular name brand one, I leave them overnight and then run them through the wash with a little bit more and some soap. I do them on hot/cold.

I actually have gotten pretty good at knowing when she poops and making sure I change that diaper before it can leak on her.

But I've lost a lot of clothes too.

I just toss them. They're all but impossible to get out. They grow out of them so quickly anyway....

They make a pre-treating Oxy liquid that takes it out (well, works for me so far).

I can get almost anything out with the oxy powder. ( never tried the liquid ) It works really well on stains if you soak overnight in hot water.

If I have another, he/she will have like 4 outfits until they are at least 6 months. My girl has waaaaay too many clothes. And those first few months she literally outgrew stuff over night.

    Awww.. LOL Too cute, Holiday!

As for catching the dirty diapers---you can catch them the second they do it (Which I do.. Because you can HEAR them go... lol), but breastfed babies' poop is pretty much all liquid, so it really won't matter how fast you get to it. It's a lovely mustard color too, which is why the stains are so horrible to try and get out. Actual mustard is a bitch in itself, too.

Easier said than done if you breastfeed. Breastmilk has a natural laxative in it (hence why breastfed babies are never constipated) which leads to rather explosive bowel movements at times. It changes as you start adding solid foods to the diet though.

LOL no joke there.. You can seriously HEAR Hunter from across the room. He just smiles away.. He's cute and all, but changing time is so messy.. LOL

I breastfed my oldest daughter, who is now 12, for 3 months. My Ex Husband couldn't even change her because of the way that breastmilk poop smells. It doesn't smell like regular poop---it's a sweet smell. The two times he changed her---He ran right into the bathroom and threw up. Such an effin wussy. LOL

I am kinda counting the days until Hunter starts solids though, so his er.. output will be at least a little bit solid. About a month and a half to go! Woot!

    In America, I know not.

JCB was not that bad, then again, every now and then he'd have a doozy that would clear out the room/house for an hour or so. LOL

Well, Adrian hasn't exploded too bad, yet. LOL

But, Makayla...oy vey...I gave her a bath one time when she was about 3 months old, clean diaper, new sleeper...put her in her bouncy seat while I finished dinner...heard her go...washed my hands, picked her up to take her into the other room to change her...

And, wouldn't you know that not only did she explode out of her diaper, it went straight up her back, out the top of the sleeper and into her hair.

Fun. I gave her to Joe. LOL

Awww.. You don't want anymore grey poupon, GameOver? Heh

LOL VG.. Hunter's done the poops where it goes all the way up his back.. I just sit there, dumbfounded. Dan's good about changing those types of poops though.. But if Hunter was to spit up on him---that's a whole different story.

As soon as you catch it, try spraying on some stain remover and then soaking it in cold water, maybe overnight. Then just throw it in the wash after adding a little more stain remover. I don't know if this works for baby poop stains... but I use it for every other type of stain and it gets things out just fine!

Try using a diaper wipe as a liner for the diaper when you put it on. A few that are dried out by laying them aside would do.

That should prevent the poo from being ground deeply into the cloth, while still being flushable.

(Okay, so I know a lot about poop, but that's only my day job.)

I'm so sorry that I'm reeling from laughter from the poop explosion stories. I remember my siblings and their breastmilk shits, but it was so long ago that amnesia has formed and it's funny once again to hear about this. It's amazing how such a little body can hold so much poop...
