Not talking about on the face, since dim lights and make up can make up for that. But what can someone do to clear up mild to medium acne on their back?

Wash with an acne cleanser, I suggest Neutrogena Oil-Free Acne Wash. Pat dry instead of rubbing with clean towel. Make sure your sheets are clean. If you have long hair, put it up while you're sleeping. Use an OTC acne medication and hope it clears up. There's not much you can do to hide it while working, unfortunately. Putting makeup over the area to cover it up will only worsen the condition. I'd probably take some time off work and get to the dermatologist if it were me. Swimming in pools always helped me if I had a breakout.........but that's not a solution because whatever is causing it will make it come back.
You may even want to take antibiotics as the skin is infected with bacteria. It helped me before.
IF you have long hair, use a big claw clip to hold your hair up in the shower if you leave hair conditioner in for a bit. Wash with a glycerin or medicated soap (I like Burt's Bee's tomato and carrot soaps). Use a cream like clean&clear and apply before bed. Washing after workouts always helped me or have some baby wipes handy to spot clean.
It helps more to make sure your diet and water intake is healthy. There are also some hair/skin vitamins you can take, although sometimes acne is caused from hormones. The only time my acne cleared almost on it's own was after starting birth control.

I really like Neutrogena Body Clear Scrub (not the wash). I have noticed that the major cause of acne for me, has to do with hormones. Ironically, what really made my skin look amazing were the Depo-Provera shots, but they made me crazy. So I have to settle for okay skin...but at least I have my sanity, haha.

Well what you do is get some head and shoulders for men,get in the shower and...slather it all over your back!
I'm being serious i used to suffer from really bad acne on my chest shoulders and back and its cleared up so much using this. I also use it as a topical cream when i get out the shower and leave it on.
i wouldnt reccomend it if you have really sensitive skin though, its a bit burny and you cant use it on your face

Thanks you guys! I'll have to try some of these things.

I use clearasil pads on my back and got a prescrition for topical cream to apply morning and night and its all gone now.![]()
