Angry Yes I am a...pig. A tipsy pig.

I made Miss. Piggy my avatar when I felt like my eating was out of control. I was going to change it when I got back in control...She is still there

In theory I know I am not fat, but when I look in the mirror I see a beached whale. Argh, not uncommon I think. So here are the two things I am working on right now.

    1. Drinking
I drink too much. At work, at home, going out. I have a huge tolerance to alcohol (surprise, surprise). So I am taking this one day at a time. Gulp.

Today is day one. Today I am not going to drink at work.

    2. Snacking
I think I eat out of boredom and I know I eat more when I am tired. I eat healthy, mostly, but I eat too much. Especially in combination with the aforementioned drinking. this is what really gets me, two weeks of no carbs and I will be fine. So, no carbs until Superbowl week. I'll go into work happy that I lost a few pounds which leads to more confidence...and ultimately to more money. And more money always makes me happy

"No carbs" sounds like a sure route to constipation and health problems. Make sure you get some whole grains and fresh fruit, for the fiber. You need SOME carbs... just make them count!

    Good luck!

getting rid of my booze-hound ways sorted me out in no time. don't underestimate how many useless calories are in every glass.

good luck... hopefully you will be kermit in no time (or maybe a bit bigger than kermit)

fruits are carbs, but really good ones! don't cancel them out, espically b/c we're in a great location to get them so much cheaper this time of year

good luck! (I always loved miss Piggy )

I'm not drinking right now either, for similar reasons, and am with you on the knowing in theory that you aren't fat but still seeing a whale. *looks at mirror* Yelch. Glad to know I'm not the only one slowly devouring a delicious chocolate candy bar right now......*daydreams a bit*

    Ahh.

Good luck, girl!!!!! Let us know how it goes and stay healthy.

I too was once a tipsy pig... I got rid of the tipsy part a long time ago, but the piggy part is still here. LoL. One step at a time is right, I'm on a predominantly vege diet now, lost 5 lbs so far. Good luck sweetie! Instead of getting a booze buzz, try going on a brisk walk (15-30 min) usually that'll get some endorphins flowing then you'll forget all about having that drink. Plus it gives you an energy buzz!

Good luck. After getting too sick at work one night I take less alcohol to work and sometimes don't drink at all. But I'm still struggling with the snacking. I wish I could say no to cupcakes and chewy chocolate chip cookies, but I can't.

right now you are focusing on the negative, with the miss piggy avatar. You are seeing yourself as you are, not as you want to be. Try to picture yourself as what you want to become. Positive thinking is a very powerful thing. The more you picture yourself as what you want to become, the easier it will be to become that. But by focusing on the negative, you are just hating yourself, and staying stuck on the negative.
Turn everything into a positive. Try to look at everything in a positive light instead of a negative. Like, instead of saying, OMG, Im a pig, I suck, I cant believe I ate that HUGE thing of ice cream, Im a failure, I need to do better tomorrow. Say this instead. Wow, I must have been really craving ice cream. I wonder why? Well, it tasted really good, and I enjoyed it, and tomorrow, Im going to eat a salad to balance it out.

Ok...first of all..since I know what you look like I have to say that you are a TEENY TINY little thing. I wish I was anywhere NEAR as skinny as you. Second...drinking will def. make you feel like crap...so even though you DEFINALTELY do NOT look bad(in fact you are HOT .....case in point: the manager took me aside when I introduced you and asked if you were going to work at the club..he was crossing his fingers that you would and congratulated me on having such a smokin' hot friend!) you will feel like crap because of all the toxins you are putting in your body.
People always ask me, did I ever learn anything when I was a stripper? Yeah, I did. One man plus two beers equals 20 dollars.
