Default glitter fabrics bad for money?

I'm thinking of ordering this dress:

but I'm thinking it could hurt my money if custys are afraid to buy dances b/c they don't want the glitter to wear off on their clothes, etc. Anyone else who has costumes in this glittery type of fabric...do they really shed glitter? Are potential custys put off by that?

I could always wink at them and say something to the effect of "don't worry about the glitter; I won't be wearing all this when I'm dancing for you"...but I usually try to draw the dances out and give myself more "moves" by waiting till the end of the first song to start taking the dress off. I could also order the same thing in plain red...but I like sparkles

    What do you think?

I have a dress like that only floor lenght. I wore it for the first time last night, and it did atract a lot of attention, and scored me a VIP. Guy said that dress was the selling point. BUT. The outfit had matching panties, with glitter. The glitter was ALL over him. Badly. I checked to se my my panties and dress still had any glitter left on it. Also, even if your not wearing the dress to dance, if you sit on his lap, it will come off onhim. This guy last night didnt mind/was to drunk to notice...

It is a beautufil dress. I like it. I would buy it anyway.

I wouldn't. You'll cover custies in stripper dust.

Yep, if you can find it in a stretch/glitter lycra, it's much better, b/c that doesn't "shed" stripper dust. Otherwise, get the plain red. Any chair you sit on, anything you touch (including other outfits in your locker) will look like the glitter fairy shit on it.

(ps. rozz- I love that phrase! "stripper dust" teehee)

there are some fabrics, i think this is one of them, that the glitter is actually knit in.... I have a work dress like this, it says: 15% Nylon 22% Metallic 65% Ramie

here's a picture of the fabric of my dress:

you can probably call the company and ask them about it, i'd say that's your best bet!

I think a dress that has gliiter in the fabric and not on the fabric would be better. Nothing will ruin a guys alibi than the dreaded tell tale sign of stripper dust. There is no explanation for stripper dust to women.

I wanted that dress too (wishing it came in a different color) but the amount of glitter it could shed was a turn off.

Yeah, not to mention all of the glitter on the stage, in the dressing room, on the club chairs that all transfers to the other girls. I hate glitter!

Why not have someone make you a copy of that dress so that the glitter is within the fabric instead of "on" the fabric ? It will probably be also made better so that it could stand the "wear and tear" that we put all our clothes through.

That's my experience none the less.

I have several outfits that have glitter IN the fabric and they barely shed at all. One or two little glitter pieces...nothin' big.

Guys like sparkly things. Most wont care or even think about it coming off. Keep another outfit with you in the back and if you get a guy who wants a VIP but is hesitating because of the glitter...go change. Tell him you are changing JUST for HIM....might even get you an extra tip out of it! Guys love when they feel you are doing something special for them....
People always ask me, did I ever learn anything when I was a stripper? Yeah, I did. One man plus two beers equals 20 dollars.

I have one outfit with glitter on it, not in the fabric. I know this sounds kinda weird, but if you take and spray it with hairspray then let it completely dry first, it won't shed the glitter. I thought it might make the outfit sticky, but that wasn't the case at all. You might try that.

I love that dress. It's so pretty!

^^^ That's a good tip for girls who have dresses with feathers on them- like feather trim. If you spray it with hairspray, the feathers won't fly off as easily.
Take the road less traveled- just make sure you have a map.
