"See, believe it or not (and I don't care whether you do), it's never been about the sex. I get sex at home, anytime, and we like it, and it's good for both of us. No, my stripclub experience has been about acceptance, and affirmation, and desirability...There have been some women who have a personality that just clicks with mine, and in the faux-sex atmosphere of the club, it's a mix that is completely seductive." - Jay Zeno
I'll be in LA... is that close enogh?![]()
Have fun man. I'm not going back until May or June , but while you are there bro, I recommended checking out these Strip Clubs:
"Spearmint Rhino" - Lots of great looking girls, very high mileage.
"Olympic Gardens" - One of the oldest best known clubs in Vegas, and since it has been remodeled, worth visiting again. Also very high mileage with the right girl.
"Seamless" - New club. Lower mileage, but mostly very attractive girls, classy, and if you go on FRI or SAT the place turns into a hoping night club after 4am.
I will be there the 9th thru the 11th. I wouldn't mind hitting a club on the 10th.

Unfortunately I'm still on my Vegas hiatus.
Well, I'm always here, lol!

LOL how long is your suppose it "hiatus"?![]()
I'm aiming to be there President's Day weekend 17-19, but soon realized that it's also NBA All-star weekend and having a tough time finding rooms. I'm hoping most of them are just blocked-out now and will open up when it gets closer to the date.

This reminds me that I never did do my Vegas TR.
Xdam, I went to all three of these clubs last June.
SR - I did not care for it...it is the antithesis of everything I look for in a club, an environment where violations of Rule #12 are rewarded with great wealth and success. I would pressed to return voluntarily. I probably still will, as it is "The greatest strip club on earth" or whatever. But I don't like the place.
OG - I like OGs. I have since it was my first Vegas Strip Club. However, the Wingman has horrible horrible luck there. He gets snubbed by girls, ripped off, and, the last time we went, the freakin' power went out for like 90 minutes. OG and the Wingman are cursed. So I doubt I will have any long term stints there.![]()
Seamless - I like Seamless. It was comfortable and I met a couple of small time porn stars there. I'll probably go back. But, since Mrs. Gen is coming on this trip, I only get to club like 50% of the time. I don't know if Seamless will make the cut in THAT scenario.
Personally, I am a big fan of Treasures and Sapphires. Both of those places have aspects to them that make me very very happy.![]()

Sapphires can be a good time. It's big, so lacks an intimate feeling, but I've had some good times there (including my last visit that lasted all night for the cost of drinks for two and 4 lap dances, we chatted the night until the sun came up).
Seamless is what I would call a couples friendly. I don't know, that might make her feel more comfortable if she sees how many other couples there are. I liked it and plan to go back, but again, the attraction here isn't the mileage. It's really more the club like atmosphere, and that it turns into a nightclub after 4am (although many of the dancers hang out and still sell dances). OTOH Mrs. Gen might not like that this is also a singles bar.
I have mixed feelings about Spearmint Rhino, and in fact I didn't go on my last Vegas trip. I just wasn't in the mood for the high pressure sales that the girls put you through here. It's still the happening spot, and the mileage is insane, but it's not a place to go if you want to just chill out. That said, the previous time I went I spent most of the night with a cute blond who just wanted to get drunk and have fun. We had a good time (again mostly for the cost of drinks).
As for OG's, I don't know what's up with your wingman. I've never been snubbed her, or had a bad time, it's just that for a while this club has been dead (too much competition from other clubs). The re-vamp of the place seems to have helped some. Also this club has male strippers upstairs so attracts a lot of single women. Feels more like a unisex club then a gentlemen's club some nights.
Before I went out to Vegas last month I had read through a couple of travel guides (well, browsed through maybe), and one of them had a list of busiest dates in Vegas. Some were obvious like New Year's Eve, but for February it had listed President's Day Weekend. I guess those three day weekends really draw a crowd.
Since I stayed at the MGM Grand, I'm now on their mailing list but for that weekend, they have rates up around $300+ a night (although there apparently are no rooms available), then on Monday the 19th (that night) they're rates drop to $70. Nice supply and demand model there, I suppose.
I'm a simple man, making my way through the universe.
Anyone ever been to scores? I've never been, but was thinking of checking it out on my next trip? good dancers? prices? mileage? crowd? atmosphere?
If not there, I'll probably just hang at SR. OG was dead the last time I was there.
I've been to Scores. It was very busy even on a Monday night when OG was dead. Nothing wrong with it, but I really don't like the club layout that much. There are no good couch type seats downstairs, the stage is up to high to interact with the girls, and I don't know, something about it just didn't click with me. Lots of dancers, but few that interested me, so I left.

I'm tempted to try to meet up with a solid SCJer, although ,I am supposed to be cutting back on LV and spent my typical 36 hour weekend there just last week.
I haven't been back to Sapphire since the ATF moved over to Seamless and wouldn't mind getting back over there to see a few people. I think she said something about Lance being at Seamless now.
Reccomend spending some time at the bar at ISLA at TI. Had a great dinner and, although I really don't drink tequila anymore, had a few free samples courtesy of a friendly and knowledgable bartender. Most had too much forward alcoholic heat for me to enjoy, but Casa Noble blew me away. If I make it to Vegas, first one is on me.
agree on the high pressure at SR. no thanks, they dont even want a dance for you unless its VIP. actually turn you down.
Saph is not intimate feeling enough and zero mileage.
Seamless was dead when i was there last
CH2 got shut down
OG was great 5 years ago but now its so-so. still sounds like the best option?![]()

Well, I spent 22 hours in Vegas this past weekend, including 7 at Seamless, but there was no GenWar sighting. I even asked the ATF to keep an eye out for a table with mints and cigars on display, but to no avail.
If the rumor of clubs limiting cabbies to $30 is true, the lower rate hasn't trickled down to affect cover charges. Seamless is now $35.
I found the last seat out of the Bay Area on SouthWest to Vegas for this weekend tonight so I booked it. Everything out of Sac, Oakland, and San Jose was sold out for Thurs. and Fri. Between the NBA, the holiday and the garment convention, I think Vegas is going to look like New Year's Eve this weekend. Supposed to be 350 extra cabs on the streets , too.
So, do I go or do I stay?
Are the other clubs up to $35 now?

x2...

After doing some research it appears the CH2 has gone into the toilet. Still open but without the eye/pocket candy. RIP.

Well, seeing as I hate crowds, I bailed on my trip this weekend. Fred Hickman, a TNT NBA commentator said he arrived Thur. evening and spent 2 hours in the cab line at McCarron. That was worse than SuperBowl weekend '05 and '06. Combined!
As far as covers go, Sapphire is now $35 (except this weekend, heard it was $50). Haven't heard anything else, but, Damn, where is the saturation point in this town? Somewhere between the ridiculous prices, the slew of new clubs, and the not so top shelf dancers, the tipping point may have been reached. Just not mine. Yet.
