    Default Would you rather...

    Have a terrible feeling in your tummy from not eating for two days, along with slight dizziness, etc...

    Or...have a really really reallllllly terrible feeling in your tummy that happens even when you eat the tiniest bite? Like a huge air balloon just blew up in it that stays for the whole day....

    Hmmm. University Health place is closed because it got cold...and we...um..texans can't handle it apparently.

    To eat, or not to eat?

    The best thing you can do is eat about five small meals a day. It keeps your metabolism going which helps you lose weight-and even better, you don't get hungry! You'd better eat, dammit, or I'ma drive up there and give ya a damn sandwich!!

    Sounds like an ulcer or the beginning of one. I had these symptoms from taking ibuprofen and stress.

    You are getting dizzy from not eating for two days and your blood sugar is low..at least drink some apple juice.

    Stay away from anything acidic (tomato sauce, orange juice), carbonated (soda), caffeinated, and chocolate.

    Drink milk, eat very light.

    Get some OTC meds such as Zantac, it'll start helping you real soon.

    Also, stress will aggravate the condition.
    Avoid alcohol and cigarettes at all costs as it makes the pain so much worse.

    Eat small meals that don't make your stomach work so hard to digest..your stomach produces too much acid when doing that for youto handle right now.

    If you're anything like me, you feel like someone kicked you with a soccer ball after you eat.

    You must eat something though, or your stomach will be filled with acid and the problem will worsen.

    This is something common and your family doctor or local urgent care can help you.

    Also stress will aggravate the condition immensely.

    Before you eat, either take the OTC medicine or coat your stomach with a dairy product like milk or yogurt and wait 10-15 min before eating your small meal.

    Poor Pooka, I know it hurts baaaaaaaaaaaad. Go to your local Walgreens and talk to the pharmacist about the symptoms if you can't get to the doctor and ask which OTC product he'd reccommend.

    I would stick with liquids until you could get in to the Doctor. They should help with the dizziness without hurting your tummy too much.

    broth. And tea. Dont try to eat anything solid....just get some hot broth into you until you can get your sweet ass (and broken tummy) to the dr.

    ^^^ I was going to suggest soup. I occasionally have the same problem if my meal times and work get messed up. It hurts to eat and its so hard after missing a meal and having to work!
    Tinned fruit is also good cos it just slides down.

    Neither, but I'd pick number one if I had to. At least you can fix it by eating something or drinking something with calories.
