Default Plan B (morning after pill)

Icky. So I've been getting a series of shots for an upcoming visit to sub-saharan Africa. None of them are known to be contraindicated with the birth control pill (which I'm on), but my body is screwy so I've been using an ovulation moniter anyways, just to be sure.

My boyfriend stayed over last night, and I did a quick saliva test (with the ovulation predictor) when I woke up this morning...sure enough, I'm ovulating.

So, since I got pumped way full of cum last night (), I guess I have to take the morning after pill? Has anyone ever taken this while on the regular bcp?

I don't know, I've never done this before. It's over the counter up here, so I'm going to run to the drugstore and get the pill (it's called Plan B), but then I'm probably just going to stare at the package for a while.

    Er, tips? Commiseration? Distractions?

In NY it can be bought over the counter. I didn't have my period for 6 months because of it. It can screw with your cycle.

Can you call your Dr and ask?
People always ask me, did I ever learn anything when I was a stripper? Yeah, I did. One man plus two beers equals 20 dollars.

Take it with food, or it can make you nauseated. I had to take it once when my IUD expelled, and I got REALLY queasy; the doc said I should've eaten first.

Depending on the pharmacy you go to, the pharmacist may 'counsel' you as they do for any other prescription med. From what I have seen you can't really just get it, pay, and leave, there is some sort of counselling involved whether it is just "Have you used this before?" or like a 20 min talk depends on the pharmacist.

^ yup, there was counselling involved, and a fee for said conselling...so I went to the walk in clinic instead. Funny how it's 'free' to go to the doctor, but costs to get advised by a pharmacist. Oh Canada.

I took it once. I got mine from planned parenthood though. I took mine with food as suggested and didnt get too sick to my stomach, but I did get a killer headache. Im prone to getting frequent migraines though so I expected it.

I have and you'll be fine. You may expierience anything from spotting, to wicked mood swings, but it's better than being pregnant IMO.

The second pill upset my stomach, time it so you're taking pill two before bed and pop a Dramamine with it if you have a sensitive tummy. I had a little spotting before I got to my placebo pills, then a heavy period with more crankiness than usual. Not a pleasant expierience but worth it for my sanity.

I've taken it with BC, made me nauseas too, but wasn't too bad. It's basically just a pumped up dose of BC, so it has similar side effects.

There is a Grocery Store by my office with a pharmacy that says "Counseling" "Pharmacy sales" and in between the two is like a piece of a bathroom stall blocker.

I try to take a pic of this, but both times I've been in there, some teen is getting counseled by the pharmacist for a morning after pill.

I feel so BAD about this. This window is RIGHT by the condoms RIGHT by the main entrance, and you can SEE if someone is standing in it from the road. The poor girl KNOWS everyone KNOWS why she's there and this store gets a lot of traffic.

When I took it, I felt crazy emotional. I also had trouble sleeping the next night...not sure if it was from the stress or the crazy emotional hormonal surge.
