    GNC Hair Vitamins

Has anyone tried the GNC nourishair or the hair/skin/nails formula? They have really good ratings on drugstore.com. I used to use the walmart hair pills but I ran out.

I'm thinking of picking up the latter because it contains a lot more biotin so I would think it'd be more effective in growing hair.

having worked there for a long time before starting to dance, i can tell you how many repeat customers i had every month buying them... A WHOLE FREAKIN LOT. who really did notice a difference. Biotin, the most important vitamin for regrowing hair/nails, as well as b's, d, silica, gelatin, etc... ALL there. good stuff- i highly reccommend.

I use their "Hair, Skin, and Nails" formula. I think it works great. My nails grow and grow, and my hair has gotten better.

Alright, so I have a question: I'd like my hair to grow longer, and I NEED stronger/longer nails, but I don't want it to make me grow more hair elsewhere! I already spend lots of money waxing face, my arms, bikini, and some fuzzy patches on my stomach.. I don't want to deal with more hair that isn't on my head!

I never had any hair growth that went crazy tyring these pills/vitamins.

How they work to my understanding is not make hair grow wicked fast, but help the hair shaft grow in healthier, stronger like it was when we were little kids with that healthy natural hair.

For nails, same thing. They grow in stronger, last longer before breaking.

Many people i have asked said their hair grew very very fast...i can't find any proof of that. It's simply a healthy hair builder which gives us a thicker head of hair that is stronger which means it does not break as quickly!

    3,000 mcg's of BIOTIN....holy shit, in a pill 3 times a day. It's water soluble thank god.

Biotin seems to be the biggie we don't get enough of for healty hair i read. Iron as well.

I tried many different brands...no difference for me. But that wont be for everyone as i read here.

    Good luck.

Nice...how long did it take to grow that long?

Ha ha, that's always the trick, isn't it? One thing that hair pills do is make the hair grow faster EVERYWHERE! At least for me. Yeah you look like Rapunzel in 6 months but those brows/bikini lines/face etc are growing in just as fast. Oh well, I'll take the extra waxing...

I'm not very hairy, but I haven't noticed other hair growing more quickly. Well, maybe eyebrows, that's hard to say. Mostly I've seen the difference in my fingernails, they look really nice when I take those vitamins.

Thanks for the info ladies. I will probably pick up the hair/skin/nails later on. I don't know about the nourishair...it's supposed to be effective but it has way less biotin so I don't really see how it could be better.

I'll post the results in a few months if they are amazing

I take the Nourishair. My nails are a lot stronger than they used to be. I'm not sure if the hair on my head is growing faster or not, because since I'm back to almost my natural color, I can't see my roots growing in at all to track growth- but my leg hair definetely is growing in faster. I do take extra biotin though- you can get a bottle at walmart for like $2.
Take the road less traveled- just make sure you have a map.

I dunno about those hair pills, but I know the Wal-Mart ones work like a DREAM!

I bumped that hair pill thread up to the first page.
