I had a tetanus shot two days ago, in my upper left bicep. Since then it's been hurting worse and worse. You'd think it would get better with time, but it's just getting progressively MORE painful! The arm is pretty much useless to me; I can barely move it. My shirt brushing against it hurts. Tonight I went to take a bath and discovered a huge, swollen, bright red welt about an inch wide and three inches long.
The doctor told me it would be sore for a few days, but he didn't say it would get worse and worse, and he didn't say anything about a welt. Is this normal? Or is it infected or something?
