    Oh no.

Real World is an MTV thing. You have to have pay TV here in Australia in order to view MTV and a whole slew of other shows as it isn't on or shown on the free2air tv.

I only know about the show thanks to being in the US in 1993 so it has been going ever since then

Kinda think Big Brother except you are allowed to come/go as you please in the unit (or "home").

    From -- http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Real_World

The show focuses on the lives of seven diverse strangers who audition to live in a house together for several months, as cameras record their interpersonal relationships, with the show moving to a different city each season. The footage shot during the housemates’ time together is edited into half-hour episodes. As the narration given over the opening title sequence by the seven housemates states:

"This is the true story, of seven strangers, picked to live in a house, work together and have their lives taped, to find out what happens, when people stop being polite, and start getting real. The Real World."

Like I said, like Big Brother however we don't get to vote who gets evicted as that is up to the Housemates themselves and they aren't stuck within a compound and can go about their lives outside of the unit/house.... plus there is no real competition as such... it is pure reality television.

It was actually the first reality show, IIRC. It has very little to do with actual reality... they cherry-pick a group of hip, sexy young adults and put them in some really fabulous, exotic house and make sure they all have hip, sexy occupations. And of course no one ever worries about bills or anything. I WISH that was "The Real World."

It was about time they had it in a cool place. This season is in Denver, CO of all places. I wanna see RealWorld Flint, MI. jk When they had it in HI it was cool.

The editing on the show is how they make the show. Cut n paste all the dramatic moments and play them for tv. Mutilated Television = MTV

Unfortunately we are both outside the max age of 25 to audition. It says so on the page that they want 18-25 year olds.

At least Big Brother will give us "oldies" a go even if they don't use us that often.
