Default Specific plan for more money (thought I'd share)

Hey everyone. I just came up with a new plan to try to boost my income and thought I'd share it just in case someone else might want to try it or have any suggestions. I pretty much have an ideal amount of money I'd like to make in a night, and of course I keep a log of my average earnings. So I decided to juxtapose the current figure with the ideal figure and see exactly how much more money I'm looking to make per night on average and implement a very specific plan as to how to get that extra money.

I've always read Hustle Hut but I've never tried doing specific things to make specific amounts of money. For example, I'm figuring that I need to make on average about an extra $70/night to be where I'd like to be, so I'm thinking do I need do approach more customers? Try to make more eye contact on stage? Try to turn more "no's" into "yes"?

Of course we all generally try to do our best all of the time but I'm thinking to consiously strive for an extra "x" dollars per night by doing specific things on top of already working hard just might yield something... any experiences with this or suggestions?

I would definitely say yes to these. Breaking down your goals ($70) into a specific tangible entity (three dances) will make each dance a desireable motivator to an overall plan that lasts beyond the worknight, which is the kind of centering focus that really helps. Thinking 'I only need to get three more dances in the next hour' is better than a scattershot 'I need more money.'

This is what I do. I also give myself three ways to make the total amount of money I want to make minimum at the end of the night.

    For example:

I am working in a club where there are $50, $80 and $100 dances. I want to make a minimum of approx $300.

    Option 1: 6 x $50 dances = 6 customers

    Option 2: 1 x $100 dance, 2x $80 dances and 1 x $50 dance = 4 customers

    Option 3: 3x $80 dance, 2 x $50 dance = 5 customers

Then go with whatever option seems viable/workable that night.

Naturally, if I go with option 1 I try to get less than 6 customers in total and just have the existing ones to go for a further $50 dance.

It doesn't put any pressure on me as the min. is low and acheivable IMO.

I set myself a minimum of $300 per night which is probably a low minimum at my club but I don't want to set it too high and get discouraged. It's very easy to make a lot more than that esp on busier nights but on the slower nights if I get that or a bit extra I feel like I have accomplished something.

I think the way GCG has broken it done is very clever. I have never thought of dancing like that, I usually just try to get as many dances as possible (which of course we all do) but I am going to try to think of it like that as it seems that goal setting would be a great idea.

I also do it like GCG. My Minimum goal is $500 a night.
    That's 1 one hour VIP
    2 half hour VIP's
    5 3for100 VIP's
25 lap dances, but if you actually try to talk to 25 people and do 25 lap dances, you are sure to get a vip of some kind, so you never end up needing to do 25 lapdances.
So in general, I try to talk to 25 people a night. Its safe for me to assume that if I strive for 25 people a night, I will reach my goal long before I ever hit 25 different guys.

I am making a new rule for myself that if I hit my goal in the first few hours of work, not to leave, because I have a bad habit of that. Tht's why it a MINIMUM goal now. Cause Im selling myself short if I leave after only 3 hours of working just cause I hit my goal early.

your club lets your leave after only 3 hours? sheesh
i do minimum 8 hours and very often 10. we are not allowed to leave until we get signed off tables and that depends on how busy the club is. if it's still busy then you could still be dancing on tables at 7am!!

Its a 4 hour minimum, but if you ask nicely, they will usually let you leave early. I mean, we pay them $100 bucks to work, so if they got their money, they dont care when we leave. They got 300 other dancers working, so its not like losing one will hurt anything.

I wish we had an 8 hour minimum shift. then at least I would be forced to work, and not get lazy and leave so early. Im really gonna start trying to stop being so lazy and work longer shifts.

Yes, notice I said $300 minimum. The $300 is not my ultimate nightly plan it is my minimum so then if I make it ... I know I'm doing good and continue working.

The club I'm within at the moment requires everyone to pretty much work until 3am. It is very rare for a dancer to be allowed to go home earlier than that unless she has a good reason.

BTW, my little plan works wonderfully in clubs I work within where I pay a door/floor fee and keep all monies after that has been paid. I'm finding it difficult to implement in clubs where they take a percentage/cut out of every dance as I'm finding I have to kinda work harder for my money not smarter ie the dance may cost $55 to the customer however I only receive $35 of it therefore I have to do at least two of those $55 dances to equal doing one $55 dance where I receive all the money (if you get me?).

okay i don't usually share "earnings' with anyone, but fuck it..its the internet!

So, I set a $400 minimum for myself each night.. The only thing bad about having a minimum goal for me is that when i DON'T hit it.. i'm fuckin crushed.. i know i know, thats the biz..never consistent. Its like I beat myself up for not hitting my "min." than get mad at myself for being disapointed in myself. (umm did that make ANY sense? LOL)

I wish I could figure out a way to get over it.. poo!
