Who here has one, what do you think?
I have been reading a ton on it, and also been putzing with a few. Looks like these guys are the next open phone like the e815 which sucks, cause I was hoping the treo would be up. But hey, these guys are thinner.
Things I like Without Programming (out of box)
- Easy Computer based interface Windows Mobile 5
- Don't bullshit you about the net contract. Just get it, the phone's almost useless without it.
- Proxying.
- I'm not a huge fan of Qwerty on phones, but this is nice
- Quality music player WITH removable SD card
- BACKUP TO SD card
- Treats TXTs like e-mails.
- Easy to backup and take off content
Things I like WITH programming![]()
- Free Dial Up Network through broadband for your lappy
- Capable of switching between your account and mobility accounts (test mode)
- This means, that when in Canada, if I don't want to pay roaming, I can switch to Verizon Mobility.
- Wireless synchronization and backing up through bluetooth AND internet
- (I run out of space on these things, so it's nice to send it through the internet to my storage location and thusly free up space)
- Volume unlocking.
Now I don't own one but have fidgeted around with a few. The software isn't hardcoded at all, unlike the treo's which means in some instances that phone my not just be able to 'Reset' The plus side is that with the expansion slot, you can do just about anything without paying for the gimmicks.
I'm not ready to replace my e815m, but when I do, I think that phone's gonna be it.
Not to mention I can get it on a free 14 day trial right now. It's a tough call.
