**First successful attempt at pole move**

Well after about a few weeks I finally did the Scorpio. Kinda sloppy. My shoulder hurts from work last night & I hit the damn hanging light. lol. Please take a look and give me some suggestions to improve. Thanks!

That was impressive! And it was on a stainless steel pole and not brass and that makes it even more impressive! Congrats!

For pole moves, the only thing you can really do is do strength and flexibility training. Also just keep doing the pole move over and over again, it will become more second nature.

Great Job!!! How long did it take for you to learn that? Ive got a pole and it so hard doing tricks on a stainless steal pole.

Good job! It takes time but once you get it it feels great! I feel bad for pointing this out but you were hanging by the wrong leg for the scorpio You actually almost had it lol.. I could see you going to grab with the proper leg then you switched it.. either way your close and looking awesome! how it will look once you get it. It feels weird at first and almost like your going to fall but once you get used to the feel its not bad at all. Keep up the great work Also I really hope your stretching before doing pole work.. I got worried when you mention your shoulders hurting.. I have a seriously messed up shoulder from not stretching properly before pole dancing... but again you are looking great! Keep it up!

Thx! Not a problem...lol. Just figuring out how to get that leg there will be fun. I will try later on.

"RarePackage", I have been trying this for about a month or so. I started working out with weights about two weeks ago to increase my upper body strength & inner thigh muscles for grip. I notice how much it has helped me. When I first started the move, all I did was slide down the pole. I had my bf spot me once or twice so I could get the feel of the move.

I have also been working on the cross-knee release & cross-ankle release. The fun part will be trying these moves with the monster shoes on...lol.

I don't like that whole 'pumping it down the pole' move...maybe straighten your legs a bit more while you're doing it? You can go straight into a scorpio as soon as you flip upside down by using you other leg to hang (as Cally mentioned).

    Lookin' good!

Shouldn't make a difference what you call it! I call the "opposite arm and leg" one the "inverted hook". And the "same arm and leg" the Gemini (like Pantera's pics).

(only holding on so I can lean out more on the other side - I fell off once doing this....)

The reason there is terminology is so that EVERYONE understands what is being done. And as per over 30 different schools around the world, the first move depicted is the Gemini.

Cally is right to point it out!!

Bubbles, glad to see you are using a mat!
