    Default The Wicker Man...

Seriously, WTF.......The back looked like it was gonna be so good...but...um...yeah...

    Wtf?

Does anyone know why this movie was so lame, or of a scary movie that wont have me all stoked for watching and then leave me with an eyebrow raised wishing I hadnt just lost 2 hours of my life?

The Descent was a pretty good movie. I just saw one on cable called The Feast that was totally off the hook. Way gory! Silent Hill was pretty good also.

The Wickerman has to be one of the top 10 worst movies EVER made. I can't believe Nicholas Cage took the role.

I had to rant about this in the movie thread I have/had going with Maruchi...

    BUT...

It's infinitely better than the original! Scary though, yeah?

My poor Pooooka had to deal with a crap movie. Next time, ask me if I've seen it or if at least I've gotten some reviews from it at work

I like the Saw Movies (have not seen the new one yet) I also really liked The Exorcism of Emily Rose - not so much scary but good!
I am with CheetahTim on the Descent - couple good "make you jump" moments...

yeah, the exorcism of emily rose was really good. from the previews i thought it would be way more scary than it was, though.

and i didnt like silent hill. it was too weird for me.

I like the MESSAGE of (in) the Saw movies --- forever I refused to watch 'em b/c of the movie covers but then I rented it on Pay Per-View (where I didn't have to actually hold the case) and LOVED it! Well - you know loved it in a scary movie kinda' way...

The storyline killed it, wouldn't you say? Through the first half I was on the edge of my seat like OH MAN THIS IS SUSPENSEFUL!! But then when they revealed their lack of screenplay-writing ability I was very very sad.

I liked Lady in the Water.. mostly cuz I'm a Paul Giamatti fan.. and also because I went into it knowing it wasn't supposed to be scary.. but more of a bedtime story or a fairy tale.

Descent was EXTREMELY good.. one of my top faves from '06. Feast was surprisingly good, expecially since it came out of that Project Greenlight thing.. I did like Silent Hill, good memories from playing the videogame. A good fun-scary flick was Slither.. I really enjoyed that one.. Hostel was good.. Pulse wasn't nearly as bad as most people made it out to be, and turned out to have some good shocks.. There's a Russian vampire movie called Night Watch that's pretty cool.. supposed to be part 1 of a trilogy. That remake of the Hills Have Eyes was very freaky!
