I have to, have to, have to GO.
Rage Against the Machine are reuniting to headline on the Sunday (amongst a whole heap of awesome bands). It'll be sooooo cool!
They're selling 3 day passes, which i'm told is a first![]()

Fools laugh at others. Wisdom laughs at itself...Osho

I want to go, too.
I'll see if I can...
K and I will be there, come hell or high water. Bjork, DJ Shadow, Brazilian Girls, Lily Allen, Air, even Willie Nelson! Best lineup yet. We went a couple of years ago and still haven't forgiven ourselves for missing last year... we are definitely going to make it this time!
We stay at Aquafinity when we do Coachella; I think you said y'all have been there too. It's nice to come in after Coachella and sit in the Aquafinity hot tub for awhile!

Every year I look at the lineup and go "Hmm...maybe". I live on the opposite coast, though. Add in the cost of babysitters for 3-4 days, plus missing a weekend of work, airfare, hotels, etc and I dont think I have 2 grand to spend just so I can see Jesus And Mary Chain. I did once fly to Germany for a Skinny Puppy reunion show back in 2000, but money was better than and we used it as an excuse to romp around Europe for 3 weeks. Ah well. Whoever goes, give a detailed report afterwards!
waffles are just pancakes with little squares on them.

Anyone playing who I'd want to see I've already seen. I would encourage everyone to see Roky Erickson provided he actually performs which would be amazing. He's the less-well-known Texan at the show. I do love the Arctic Monkeys, and Fields are pretty good. It's no Reading, that's for sure, but then again it's in California so, different crowd.
Last time I went, it was just to see Nine Inch Nails and the Chemical Brothers. I wound up enjoying several other bands, but I would've been happy to only see those two in a single weekend. This time, I'm going for Bjork. All the other badass bands, that's cool and I'll like it, but the only reason I'm really willing to buy a ticket and drive out to the desert is for Bjork! I've always wanted to see her live!

I saw Bjork -AND- PJ Harvey on a double-bill years ago. Nyah Nyah. Then again, my old ass also saw the first Sugarcubes tour. So. Yeah.

Damn! That's friggin' awesome! I think the oldest band I ever saw live was the Pixies when they did a reunion tour a couple of years ago... they performed at the Greek, outdoors in Griffith Park, and it was freakin' sweet. Too bad I was there with a loser blind date, but the concert was worth it.
