    Default Bad days.

You know when you have a day when absolutely no customers come in, theres like 10 thousand girls, and the three customers are sitting there, they aren't doing shit with anybody.

How do you keep from going insane?

Unfortunately, I have anxiety to begin with and I start thinking: Oh fuck, its the weather, we're going into a bad season, how am I gonna pay rent, etc, etc. Should I go out of town, should I do this should I do that....

But then, the next day (yesterday) I did awesome. And now I'm ike oh shit do I still go out of town, etc, etc.. ay yi yi.

For you veteran ladies out there, how do you maintain patience during a bad spell?

do you have a nintendo DS?

Normally I just talk to the girls I work with. It keeps me on the floor and it's understood that the conversation ends as soon as guys come in.

You don't. And if that trend continues to where dancers continually outnumber customers, it's time to move on.

No matter how much girls brag about how much money they make, NO DANCER makes money every night!!!

oh, here we go with the gloom and doom of the business again...

yes, some dancers make money every night. Not always a lot, but I can't remember making less than $100, and less than $200 nights are extremely rare. And yes, I consider $300 a bad night....and I work almost every night. I'm a clean dancer and I don't have regulars. It's there. You just have to know how to get it.

However, I do agree that it's time to move on if you have bad nights often.

the Brain Age game is really cool. They are short little puzzles and keep your brain juices flowing.

What if you aren't allowed to play with a hand-held game or something ?

This is what happened last night at the club I'm currently appearing. The girls out-numbers the patrons quite easily and there weren't THAT many girls working at that stage. Then when there were a few more patrons, they all weren't really interesting enough or rich enough to purchase lap dances.

Stage tips are rare at this club (which is a shame) as lap dances are the primary (and usually only) way to earn money.

yeah, certain managers would get mad at me for playing, but if I stayed in a back corner, I could do it without being bothered and still have a good look. It was kinda tongue in cheek when I mentioned it earlier. I jsut sold my DS. Didn't play it enough.

Save money!!!! This isn't a quick fix, obviously, but it's the one thing that's kept me from freaking out at work the way I did when I was new. With my savings account nice and bulky, I can weather the occasional bad night. Actually, when I can stay relaxed and upbeat on bad nights, more often than not something will happen to save me before the end of the night.

Remember, sometimes it only takes one guy to make your night, and you never know who it's going to be. You're a lot more likely to find that person if you're smiling, having fun, and approaching customers than if you're sitting by the bar stressing about how bad your night is.

Take a break in the dressing room in you need it. Take some deep breaths. Do a puzzle or read a book, but set a specific time limit when you have to stop and go back on the floor. Set a goal and keep reminding yourself of it, even if it doesn't seem like you're going to make it. I find when I do this, I usually DO make the goal by some strange means. And if I don't, no sweat...try again the next night.

I agree with the posts in here... always knowing that I already have rent saved means that I can relax on the awful nights and feel better than girls that are screaming about how their rent is due tomorrow and how their baby needs some formula etc etc. Also -- downloaded sudoku onto my cell phone! The game has a little timer and each puzzle lasts about 6 minutes, which is perfect for a break since I don't smoke cigarettes.

It's no good when there's no customers in the club, like last night. We didn't get anyone until 12:30. 12:30!!!!!!! So what did we all do? Drank. So by the time guys did come in, no one wanted to do shit. 12:30!!!!!

OMG ... Kaiarose ... the same thing is happening at the club I'm currently within... hardly anyone (except the odd dancer here and there) will receive a lap dance (and its the primary way of earning money at this club as no one stage tips) until around 10pm! Plus alot of the times there are more dancers than customers until 11pm... and the club effectively is closed at 3am!

What shits me the most is that most of the time I start at 7.30pm so I'm already getting near my 5 hour "low time" (as I can work pretty effectively for 5 hours straight before I start to hit a wall) when they all start to come in !!! ARGH!!!

I need to start later so I can avoid the doldrums and wasted time/energy.
