    Default Grad schools--the empty mailbox

Argh...I am so impatient. I applied to the only school I want to go to, which happens to be top ranked, at the end of November. I want to know NOW!!! Am I in or what? I hate waiting.

I know it was a bad decision to apply to one school, but if I don't get in, I am not moving, I'll go to a local school to finish up master's and then think about moving for Phd. But I kicked ass on the GRE, got a 4.0 last semester, got published....and first year students have to pay full tuition. There is no reason not to be accepted, it is a small dept compared to the rest of the school, not quite so competative.

I want to by my bottle of Veuve now. It is a wonder how I got anything done last semester when this semester every time I sit down to study I am totally distracted by SW.
