Anyone following this? I know the US media has rather inexplicably ignored this whole thing, but it's kind of a big deal...a serial killer who has been charged with killing 26 women, and has allegedly admitted to killing 49.
Remains were found on his property (pig farm) in various disgusting states, including chopped up in the freezer, and in the pig's food trough. (I'm SO glad I don't eat pork...he was a local distributor)
I was working at a club next to the court where the trial is being held this week, and it's weird just how low-key it all is. I should be proud, I guess, that we're a country that doesn't sensationalize things so much, but at the same time, it almost seems...I dunno, disrespectful...that it's going by almost unnoticed.
All the girls he killed were prostitutes, and it just seems like, because of that, no one cares.
