    Default Yay for Stripping!

I've been working in London for the past couple of months, and now I know I'm going to be making X-money (I was RUBBISH at first, pure luck) I got my first flat! Aww! I've never lived out of home before, but it's the cutest little place I've ever seen, with really high ceilings for a pole too. I just can't believe how much my life has changed since starting this job, it's doing all the things I promised myself it would, hurrah! Sorry it's a bit off topic, but just so damn excited, I get to move in on Monday/Tuesday!!! Any advice on how to pay bills and stuff??? Oh well, I'm sure I'll get the hang of it!!! *Does crazy hyper Dance!*

congrats! freedom and responsibility change people (usually for the best!) as you'll find out You'll love it!

The best way to pay de billz is automatically, hook it up with your bank acct. That way you won't be at the risk of forgetting

I don't necessarily agree with that part... if you have insufficient funds in your bank acct then you can be hit with overdrafts and whatnot which will screw you over/be a heartache dealing with the bank. I know that in the states if you are going to be a bit late with your electric bill you can call them and negotiate a due date. I just write down the due dates for all of my bills in my day planner.

Don't forget, OP, that you should save up about 3 mos worth of expenses as soon as possible. What if you break your ankle and can't pay rent? Eep! Knowing you've secured yourself in case of emergency is a real comfort.

    Congrats

Yes make sure you have at least three months savings to cover your ass for a just in case.

Make sure at the end of every night you go home and divide your money, rent, phone, cable etc... then do a savings and a play section. At least 10% of every night should go to savings.

Well, I'm doing this job (although I enjoy it anyway) to save money for a really brilliant college I want to go to (costs LOADS!) so I'll be saving about 2/3 of my money anyway, hopefully - depends how much I make! So shouldn't have too much trouble if I couldn't work - but I hadn't thought of that, scary! I'll be VERY careful, lol.
