    Default Allergic?

Alright, well, see, I have some asthma problems and what not...

But I was wondering....I always get really short of breath after eating.

I was just finishing off a mini bag of doritos...and having trouble breathing...and was looking at my delicious cheesy snack and wondering if it could be a sign I was allergic to dairy maybe? I know powder dorito cheese is hardly a block of cheddar or glass of milk....just a thought.

Would this be possible even thouh I don't have other symptoms really? Because most of what I eat contains some kinda dairy...and I do often have bloating issues.....Anyway....

Could it be a dairy allergy? Or does it sound like somefink else?

Maybe you eat too fast? I dunno. But are you having any other symptoms after eating anything?

I suggest that you try eating things without dairy first. See if that has effect - write it down too weather its good or bad.

very well could be an allergy sign. when you have trouble breathing, it's often a sign of an allergen in your throat be it inhaled or injested. i have had lots of respiratory reactions to things im allergic to, cats, dairy.. so before continuing eating doritos, even if they have very little coating of flavor, go get an allergy test. they are easy and fast (skin tests i mean). *hopes you are not allergic and it's just you eating fast or somethin'*

    Love it!

You said you always get out of breath after eating. Then i would say no it's not allergies. Eat slower and make sure the food is going down and not hanging around your upper GI. This can block a fair amount of air flow to the lungs.

Is it an 'out of breath' feeling like you were just running or more like your throat constricting that makes it hard to breath. If it's the second it could be allergies. Do you get swollen lips, eyelids, hives, itchiness??

I have a friend that is allergic to soy and she reacts to lots of things (ie: bun on a hamburger at Mcdonalds) that contain trace amounts of soy. It could be an allergy or sensitivity to something like soy, or palm oil, or any of those preservatives that seem to show up in everything.
