Default New Club in LV - Eden

    Hey folks,
Just wanted to put a post here and let you all know that a new club has opened up in Las Vegas. The spot used to be called Striptease, but was bought by a new owner who has hired a slew of top notch local folks to work the club, along with Vegas Group Entertainment to do the back office and marketing. The club is now called Eden (sign should be up by the end of next week). More info…

The Club: The inside of the club has been entirely redone. Even though the club is fairly large, about the size as Scores, we’ve spent a lot of effort in creating an intimate and cozy feeling. We want to keep the focus of the club on the entertainers, so we haven’t jumped on the bandwagon with some of the other new clubs in town with raw bars, 80 foot ceilings, and show-off wine cellars. There are lots of great places to eat and drink in Las Vegas already – we want to make a great STRIP CLUB!

The Staff: Hand picked from the best résumés in town. The senior staff has more than 100 years of experience in LV strip clubs. If you’ve danced in Las Vegas for any length of time in the last 10 years, you will likely see someone you recognize. The staff is also well liked and trusted by the local strip club patrons as well as high value out-of-town customers.

Location: This is the best location of any club in Las Vegas. It’s one block north of the Rio at 3750 South Valley View. It is a stupid easy trip for anyone staying at the Rio or the Palms. In addition, with the traffic flow the way it is around town, it is a very easy club for locals to get to as well – no weird one-way streets, scary warehouse districts, or endless fighting the tourist traffic.

Dance Fees: Still in flux as of now, but if you want to stop by this weekend (26th to 29th), there will be NO FEE! If last night was any indicator, it should be busy…

If you’re in the Las Vegas area, even if you’re dancing at a different club, I’d like to invite you to pop in for a minute and check out Eden. Who knows, you might like what you see! We will be operating as a soft launch for a few more weeks while we finish the last of the remodeling and get our marketing in order. After that time, we’ll have some opening events and you will start to see the name/logo more around town.

Thanks and we hope to see you at Eden!

    Obey the Snake!
Luke and the entire Vegas Group/Eden Team.

I wil definatly stop by and check it out..however....

You know what makes a great strip club? The girls that work there. They gotta be hot, and they gotta be happy. You know what keeps a strip club full of hot and happy dancers? Money.

A show off wine cellar, steakhouse and raw bar attract customers with money, which keeps the club full of happy dancers.

    Then theres locations.

I would beg to differ that its in the BEST location in Vegas. Why? well..Ever heard of the Fruit loop? Its where all the gay bars are. If yor gay, you head to the fruit loop, cause you know thats where all yrou favorite spots are.
Likewise, if you wanna hit strip clubs, you go to Highland. Thats where all the strip clubs are. Within 5 minutes of each other, you can find most strip clubs in Vegas, all in the same little area.

Sure, it's a great location for Palms and Rio customers, but will that really matter if you dont pay the cabs to bring thoes customers over?
(will you be paying them, and how much?)
What will this club offer to attract Palms customers, rather than Gold Coast customers?

Anyway....With all the new clubs opening, and the cabbie wars going on again, I just am wondering what THIS club will offer to keep them afloat and competitive with every other club in Vegas.

So yeah..I'll stop in and check it out.I'd love to see what you've done with the place!

Oh yeah..will it be open 24 hours?

    Dear Kaylinn,

I agree with you 100% that having great entertainers is an absolute requirement for success. I think that the team of managers that we've assembled have done an extraordinary job recruiting an exceptional pool of talent. Swing by anytime and see if you don't agree.

Getting guys in the club with money is obviously the second most important thing that has to happen for a club to be successful. We looked at a lot of options for creating a 'draw' and kept coming back to the same conclusion: If we put in a lot of high-cost "services" like sushi & wine, all we'd be doing is taking money out of the customer's pockets and putting it in ours, less cost of goods, and a pretty hefty tax bite, and we'd have to spend a lot of capital to create those services, then staff them, which further reduced their value. And that money, once spent on those "services" couldn't be earned as tips & dance fees by our entertainers.

So at the end of the day, we elected to focus on creating what we describe as a "party atmosphere", and let the girls, the music, and the high spirits (pun intended ) make the place a draw. So far, it seems to be working. Business has been roughly doubling every day since Monday when we took over operation of the club from its previous management. When I left last night at midnight, we were running out of chairs!

We are and will pay the cabs. We're paying them the "standard rate", as determined by looking at our key competition, and after discussions with a number of cabbies about what they will and will not find acceptable. We're also paying the cabs 24hrs a day, which no other club (to my knowledge) is doing. The long line of cabs backed up in the cab line last night dropping off clients was an indication that we've got the number dialed in.

The club will be open 24 hours a day. Right now, we're still doing a lot of interior work, so you may find that we're "closed" in the mornings. Our goal is to be ready for business by about 5pm every day minimum, earlier if possible, and not to close if practicable. Once the initial work is done (which should only take a few days), we're planning on working straight through the Superbowl and a few weekends afterwards before starting the next phase of the remodel (which will also involve being closed for parts of the mornings, but never for a whole day, and never during the best working hours).

It has been an incredible learning experience to work with the managers and the experienced entertainers who have helped us plan & execute the new Eden strategy. I'm very much looking forward to seeing lots of SW dancers take advantage of the new club in the near future!

Rather have Palms guys than Goald Coast guys. Palms may be a party crowd, but they have money. the Palms is not a cheap place to gamble or party.

But that comment was actually more directed to mean...He said its within walking distance from the Rio, and Palms, and Gold Coast is also right there.. 2 good casinos, 1 shit casino. I wanted to know why that club would attract customers from the good casino's and not the crappy, cheap one.

I loved the laid back atmosphere of StripTease when I worked there (a few years ago). We got a lot of construction business customers in there, and those guys are down to earth and spend a lot of money. But I guess now that the housing boom is over, the club needs to look to a new set of monied clientele.

I liked the location as it was easy to get in and out of, and easy access to main thuroughfares.

Business is picking up nicely -- we're ahead of projections for the first week.

Come by the club any time and talk to a manager about the house fees. They vary based on the time of day you'll be working. They average out to about $80, which includes the manager's tips.

MANAGER'S TIPS?!!! Let me get this straight. The manager gets a salary AND tips? The girls PAY to work and pay YOUR staff? That sounds very Wynn.

Sounds to me when they were deciding on all the fees and such the soon to be manager said .. "umm .. how much are we going to require them to tip me? uuuuuh .. how bout 80 bucks." Umm .. I dont think so. I realize the club has to make money too .. but I think it is getting to the point that so many clubs are trying to make the dancers pay the salaries and utilities and forget that all that door money and beer money IS theres. I say we tell them if we give you a percentage, we should get a percentage of your damn door fees and beer money.
I dont mind small fees, but paying 50-100 a night to work at a club is rediculous. I am sorry. THink about it, ... for a bigger bluc that charges 50 bucks a night .. lets say they have 50 girls ... $2500 a night JUST in stage fees. We are paying the stoopid bills . now you want US to pay the manager on top of that. We are MORE than doing our share dont ya think???

    Dear Ryan Dancey,

If you want to get some very hot dancers on your stage, perhaps consider paying the girls $200 for an 8 hour night shift and waiving all house fees for a limited time. I bet more girls would be willing to check it out. That way, if your club is as good as you say it is, the girls will be happy and stay at your club after you bring the house fees back into the picture. It would be a good investment

    Dear Cheetahchick,

Thanks for your suggestion -- I think it's a good one. Luckily, we have a great group of entertainers who have committed to helping launch Eden, and our dressing room is filling up rapidly!

I think that if these girls thought they would earn as little as $200/night, they'd be picketing the manager's offices! I'm happy to say that the reports I'm seeing from the entertainers is that they're hitting their target income -- and then some!

Keep those ideas coming. I'm very interested in your feedback and in your suggestions!

Could you explain the managers tips?

I understand tipping out the hosts, paying the housefees, but I havent heard of managers tips being included in a house fee...could you elaborate on that?

Also...what are your VIp room prices/bar tab charges?

    Is there an offstage option?

Eventually. Honestly, it's a real low priority for us. We'll have a placeholder up real soon, but won't put up a full blown site until we're gearing up for the launch events.

When we first started looking into this business, we found that websites were of pretty limited use. They are good for getting a sense of what the inside of a club looks like, but as our remodel is still ongoing, we don't really even see that as a serious value yet.

They are good for directions though...

I'll put a very small post up here on this thread when our site is live (I hate spamming community sites, makes my eyeballs itch). If anyone wants to see pictures of the inside of the club, I'll ask the guys over there to see if they can take some without being intrusive.

This is very common in big city clubs. Especially in Vegas. Everyone gets tipped in Vegas.
