Default peekaboo pole- safe if made permanent?

just curious if anyone may know this. if you added flanges to the peekaboo pole and attached it to the floor and ceiling do you think it would be useable/safe? i really want to get a pole but cant really afford one yet so im trying to come up with some cheaper ideas... any thoughts?

Hmm. I've heard that people have been able to pull off a few tricks on it.

ive heard tale as well. its the tension ceiling hole that makes it unsafe right? so if you added flanges and made it permanent it makes sense that it wouldnt fall down... wonder if anyone has tried this.

Why risk it? Just save your money. It is just not worth being "cheap" sometimes.

It does say that using the peek a boo pole is not used for tricks etc. I was thinking about getting one myself but I'm going to save my money for a proper one.

The cross section of the peekaboo is also not very thick, so even if it was fixed into place it may buckle in the middle! NOT GOOD.

For about the same price you can go to a builder's merchant or similar and get a length of strong pole, and some proper collars for it, and have something perfect! Some builders even do poles specifically for dancing now.

Just go to a hardware store and u can buy a length of stainless steel pole and get it cut to your ceiling height. you can get them for AU$50 and if u know a handy man get him to make a bracket for it.

OMG...DO NOT GET A PEEKABOO POLE...unless you really want to kill yourself!

Honestly, why cheap out? You wouldn't put stairs in your home, knowing they will fall the minute they are stepped on....why would you put a pole up that you know will fall once you get on it?????

Wait a month...save the extra money and get a good pole!

I'd practice on street corners at night before I'd cheap out and use one of those... there are poles all around until you get your own pole - use whatcha got!
