Anyone have experience with Restylane and/or Radiance (aka Radiesse), as fillers for lips and frown lines? What were your results? Which is better?
If you can compare with collagen, fat, & other options, all the better.
Thanks.

They last longer than collagen, that I know. I think collagen lasts for 2-3 months and the fillers you mention last anywhere from 6 months to up to a year.
I haven't had any injectables (yet) but I've heard from people that have had Restylane that it hurts like a motherfucker getting the shots because the molecules are so large.
The women that I've met that have had Restylane though have been very happy with the results.

Ive had restylene in my lips several times and ive been very happy with the results. My doctor injected me inside my mouth to numb my lips so i didnt actually feel the restylene going in but the numbing injections hurt. I wanted radience but apparently it takes about a week to heal and there will be redness and swelling, alot more than restylene

I love the results from restalyne. I do not think it is that painful either during injection or healing period. I usually have gotten about 4 month results from restalyne. Now, when I had fat transfer/injections in my lips they hurt like a bitch for about 4 weeks. Worth it though because the results are semi-permanant.
There is a new filler called Juvaderm which I am going to check out. It is supposed to last longer than Restalyne.

^^^ a friend of mine had restylane for a few rounds, loved it, then went for aquamid (permanent). she's a happy, pouty little camper.
I love restylane! I get half a syringe in my smile lines (they arent deep at all) and half in my upper lip. It looks wonderful! But it does hurt like a bitch! But I am such a baby wen it comes to needles!
