    Default summer months

So I hear that summers are reeeeeeeally slow in Arizona, thats it's hard to make money at that time of year.

What American cities are good for making $$$ in the summer?

In summer we starve. It sucks, I wont blow smoke and tell you anything different like "Oh it's okay at certain clubs" etc...it just plain sucks. Last summer I made the mistake of not having some $$ set aside for the summer lull, and it got scary for me.

If I could travel and work for the summer I would...but it's not possible, so this year with how things are going I will most likely get a second job. Blah!

I don't know why that made me laugh so hard.....maybe because I swear that's exactly what I have thought every single summer!

chrissy and I talked about renting an RV, driving out there and staying for awhile

but the more I thought about it, the more I didn't want to do it. The dogs, the RVs are so expensive (and they get like 5 mpg!), the time...

But it'd be cool to do a road trip and you'd have a place to stay.

Wisconsin is much better in summer than winter- winter is our slow time of year here, but summer is great.
Take the road less traveled- just make sure you have a map.

I don't know if San Diego is good or not since I have the opportunity to work more in the summer than the school months... But IMHO, I LOVE it in the summer!
If you think school is hard, try being stupid.

Emily, the RV idea has crossed my mind a few times. My hubby and I got a motor home for ourselves as a wedding present, since we love to camp and such, so we thought about heading off somewhere and doing a sort of working vacation (oxy moron), and the summer would be the time do it I guess, but we have no idea where we would go!

I haven't worked there , but I heard that Minneapolis is good in the summer. A girlfriend of mine was talking about it just the other night. She said she banks during the summer but she hates dealing with the corporate bullshit and I can't remember the name of the club.

Summer in Alaska actually sounds.... fun... for some reason. I'm intrigued! Just looked it up on stripclublist and low and behold theres several clubs in Anchorage as well as some in other major cities.

Has anyone here danced there in the summer? If so I'm curious to hear about your experience.

I wonder about Flagstaff as well. Being in Northern AZ it doesn't get as hot. But being a college town, I wonder if theres still $$$ to be made at that time of year.

I started dancing in Tucson two summers ago. I had just stared so of course it seemed like big money to me. It really wasn't bad. I made between 3-5 every night i worked and not just on the weekends. I do not work long hours either.

I am here in Tucson again and I am making a little more, but not double.

I am going to Seattle this summer. The Vu downtown is not extra-y and I made good money there. Although, I do not like the corporate stuff either.

My boyfriend is in Seattle so that is why I am going to stay there. BUT- I think you should go to Alaska. Do a search on here for ideas on clubs, there are many threads.
Go early, and stay as long as you can. It seems like the better clubs may have have year-round girls that resent the girls that just pass through town. Explore on you time off. Have a great adventure!

Do you have to stay in the US? If you are under 30 you can get a work visa to Australia (it will be winter) for 4 months. From reading the posts here it seems like they do well.

Let us know what you end up doing!

Never thought of Australia, but that sounds like fun as well! I turn 26 this year.

I've thought of Seattle also because thats where I'm from (lived there for 8 years before coming to PHX). One thing about going there is if I do, I'll already know my way around the city : ).

    Decisions, decisions!

I work in North Carolina summers are good here! And if it gets slow for a weekend you can head to the beach and bank at Myrtle Beach.

I banked last summer in Indy.

It's been slow for me this winter, but I think a lot of that has to do with me being burned out. The bodies are in the club, but they don't seem to be spending.
