Default Are you one of them?

I have been enjoying getting guy's points of view lately. So here's another one: Are you one of those guys that are absolutely rude to a dancer for pretty much no reason? Have you ever shooed a girl away before she even got to your table? Ever called a girl a name onstage because she didn't do enough for your dollar? I want to know if you do these things and why. Let's see who has enough balls to fess up.

I always try to be very polite. However, there are times when I see a dancer approaching, I drop a tear gas canister on the floor, don the gas mask, shout "Hit the deck.. every man for himself!", rappelle up the walls and escape through the vents - much like a ninja - so I dont have to encounter her.

Most times, though, I just politely say "No thank you".

I make it a habit to be on my best behavior, even when I've got a good excuse to be angry. If my mood is that shot, I just head home. I go to a strip club to relieve stress, not aggrivate it.

Besides, when I have to put my foot down cutting off the money works way more effectively than throwing a tantrum, although there have been times I just wanted to curl up into a fetal position until the offending party went away.

    Absolutely not.

I somehow don't think you're going to get any positive responses. The kinds of guys who do that, are the same kinds of guys who pop up here from time to time but need severe moderation. So people who see, consider, and respond to this thread are probably not going to be people who do that kind of thing.

From reading your post it seems you have been getting your views from 25 and under immature Frat boys. Stress "boys" in that sentence. It is all immature and rude regardless of the social situation.

No. However I am 35 and I never did the Frat thing. Change "guys" to "boys" and that is a more believable blanket statement. Are you one of those "girls" that are rude to retail sales staff for no reason? Essentially what you have is young people on their own and they are testing the limits of social situations..... If I act like this; is it ok? Is it what everyone else is doing? Not even a conscious thought just a part of growing up. oh yeah saying what I have about Frat boys is stereotyping too. I am aware of that.

Once to the highly intoxicated stripper who could barely walk. I don't want to be the custy that gets thrown up on. I am comfortable with saying "No Thank you" but, I am guilty of "Not right now, maybe later" too.

Nope, If I thought I got a crap return on my dollar then I just don't give you another one. I rarely go to a tip rail so: it would have to be with a fun, high energy, bunch of guys out for a night.

I honestly hope our guys don't respond to this with their stories. I like to hold the men of sw to (slightly ) higher standards then the general strip club patrons. frankly, i'd be a little disappointed

Besides, who the fuck is dumb enough to say they were a jack ass to a dancer on a stripper board? I don't think you need balls to do that, I think you'd need to have had a lobotomy.

I have only been rude to a dancer once, and that was completely unintentional.. The story.. it was my cherry visit to a strip club about 2 years ago. Christie's Phoenix, although it might have been Tiffany's back then.. Anyway, first time ever in a club, and I was bound and determined not to get any dances cuz I didn't know how I felt about the dynamics of it all. So, I was turning down dancers left and right... and towards the end of the night, I committed a cardinal sin.. This one really hot blonde made eye contact with me across the room, and started heading my way. Before she could open her mouth, I blurted out "No thank you!" ..whereupon she said "WHAT? I didn't even ask you anything yet! How rude!" and then proceeded to give me a small tongue-lashing.. Yikes.. Lesson learned.

That being said, I do see other guys who are (apparently) purposefully rude and obnoxious.. some drunk.. some just with issues..

No. Rude isn't in my personality.

No, I usually want a girl at my table. That's why I'm there. Come over and say hi.

No. Name calling is for children and the emotionally challenged.

I tip if I'm at the rail or sitting at the stage. All I expect for a dollar is for the girl to smile and take it. Anything else she may do is icing.

Good luck finding a rude boy who will own up to it here on the pink side. You may want to try the blue side.

I guess I was just feeling a little cynical. Work has been really tough lately and I've been getting quite a few guys just being flat out rude. So I thought maybe if someone actually was like that, I wanted to know why. Alcohol isn't always the issue either.

Honey we weed out the guys that act like that; as to why...

Okay there are two main types of guys who go to strip clubs (and forgive me for vastly oversimplifying here):
    1) the guy who wants to pay to touch women and thinks a strip club is either less shameful or cheaper than hiring an escort, or is only interested in touching up to a certain point
    2) the guy who essentially likes being "wooed" - that is, the experience that women have most times we go out. That is, to sit at the bar and be able to choose, from amongst many contenders, who appeals to them the most.

Within (2) you again have a multiplicity of types.
(2)(a) the guy who really enjoys women's company and wants to feel strong and handsome, and
(2)(b) the guy who doesn't really enjoy women's company but want to be strong and in control.
I'm sure I don't need to elaborate which one behaves the way you are outlining. They are, largely, bitter about either being unattractive or unappealing in some other way and they enjoy going to stripclubs so that they can snub women that they believe would snub them given the option. It is, in short, revenge coupled with implicit understanding that we are less than human and therefore although our feelings can be hurt, the "hurt" is not really very important, and there is, therefore, no real culpability. It sucks, and it makes me mad on a conceptual level, but in the real life application, I tend to forget about them pretty quick (quick enough, ironically, to actually approach the same losers on the same nights more than once).

Did you see the movie Swingers? I love that movie (most guys do). I happen to love Vince Vaughn and Jon Favreau, too. And I know most women love Vaughn, and probably Favreau. Anyway, I think the scene from the movie where they're trying to explain that you don't need to be afraid of women -- you're the bear, and they're the bunny -- is hilarious and illustrates the mentality behind what you're talking about. Some guys think they don't have to be nice to you, because you're the bunny and they're the bear.

The problem is, they're usually no Vince Vaughn....

Trent: You know what you are? You're like a big bear with claws and with fangs...
    Sue: ...big fucking teeth, man.
Trent: Yeah... big fuckin' teeth on ya'. And she's just like this little bunny, who's just kinda cowering in the corner.
    Sue: Shivering.
Trent: Yeah, man just kinda... you know, you got these claws and you're staring at these claws and your thinking to yourself, and with these claws you're thinking, "How am I supposed to kill this bunny, how am I supposed to kill this bunny?"
Sue: And you're poking at it, you're poking at it...
Trent: Yeah, you're not hurting it. You're just kinda gently batting the bunny around, you know what I mean? And the bunny's scared Mike, the bunny's scared of you, shivering.
Sue: And you got these fucking claws and these fangs...
Trent: And you got these fucking claws and these fangs, man! And you're looking at your claws and you're looking at your fangs. And you're thinking to yourself, you don't know what to do, man. "I don't know how to kill the bunny." With *this* you don't know how to kill the bunny, do you know what I mean?
Sue: You're like a big bear, man.

Jenny's assessment seems quite accurate in the broader scheme of SCs.

That said, without exception, every time I've been less than the perfect customer it's been because the dancer's behavior and/or attitude warranted that type of response.

    Agreed.

I really try to be well behaved. But there is one dancer at my neighborhood club who is just terribly cloying. I'll be paying attention to the gal on stage, and this other dancer will come up to the stage, deposit herself much too close to me, and sit there expecting some attention from me. To make matters worse, sometimes she's got BO. I've had to walk away, sometimes not too politely.

thats why i like my clubs rule that dancers are notallowed to approach customers sitting at the stage.its annoying to the guy and its also poaching the customer off the girl on stage

I don't go to strip clubs that much. I have been rude before. I forget what club it was or when, but I remember going and having a million girls grab me and say "wanna dance" out of nowhere. It's a little annoying when your obviously in a conversation and someone suprises you for the trillionth time with, "Wanna dance", after repeadetely saying no.

haha oh yea! I felt a stripper going into my pocket one time during a lap dance at Lord Black. I was pissed and told her to get the fuck off of me.

Besides that I'm a well behaved patron. I'm always on the reserved side at the SC.

I too am one of the guy that try to be very polite when I go to a SC. Im there to have a good time and enjoy myself. They only time i can rember being down right rude was 2 years ago at the Sharks Lounge in Daytona. There was aa Oriental dancer there who was worse than a fly on a hot summers day. After very politly saying no thank you a dozen or so times I lost my cool with her and said something rude. I regreted it a few minutes later, but there is only some much you can take some times.

Well, this was not a dancer, but a dancer's -- I dunno -- manager? agent?

I was in my favorite club, and had arranged a dance with my then ATF, when this female customer came up to me. She told me how she had never ever before had a lapdance from a woman, but she had one from this dancer on stage, and it was the biggest thrill of her life. I ought to have a dance with her dancer. Wouldn't I like to have one with that dancer too? I could pay her, and she would arrange the dance for me.

I told her that I was not really interested, and I had already scheduled a dance with another dancer. She wouldn't take no for an answer and proceeded to trash my friend and tell me how her dancer was so much better, her point being that her dancer had much bigger boobs than my dancer.

She was so pushy that I finally told her to go away and leave me alone or I would complain about her to the manager, so she finally left me alone. She went over and hit on some other guys.

So, if this was rude, I was rude. But I was only rude to get rid of an obnoxious person who would not take a polite no for an answer, repeated many times over.

Since your from Utah, Im assuming that you are talking about a club in Utah or somewhere close by (Wendover, RS, GR). Anyways, seems that the dancers are lacking the hustle lately and having their 'friends' come in and try to get them dances.

I had a 'friend' once try to get me dances from these young college kids (and I dont do well with the younger ones) and it was a mess. I felt weird and uncomfortable and for the money she 'MADE' me I was forever reminded.

Yeah, it was the club in Wendover that is closed now, and it happened about five years ago. I actually didn't mind her asking me; it was not taking no thanks for an answer and putting down my choice that I did not like.

Actually I get more bullshit from older guys than younger ones. Particularly rude remarks and degrading comments, oh the ever-so-insulting price hagglers I think the younger boys are usually too busy being awestruck in that young boy way

Had a dancer once tell me she preferred Dirty Old Men to Young Fraternity Jocks because the DOM did not expect to pick up the dancer and take her home like the frat boys did.

I'd get younger if I could, but I am sort of stuck with the age I am, at least until I get older.

I have more hassle from OLDER guys trying to pick up on me as well. Again, I think the young ones just know better, or are too afraid. Sometimes they might ask if we could go out but they usually give up easily when I turn them down. The older guys are the ones who'll sit there fucking badgering me for escort services throughout the dance(s)
