Mommy. I've mentioned before that Delia has weak enamel on her teeth. This is due to the lack of fluoride in the Memphis water from the year and a half that we lived there. Without the fluoride, her teeth got very weak. At her last Doctor appointment, we found out about the lack of fluoride in the water, and before I got the chance to make a Dentist appointment for her there, Dan lost his job and the Insurance that went with it.
So, I figured we would just get her seen here. Three days ago, one of her front teeth just broke. The bottom half was completely gone. Of course, yesterday first thing in the morning, I called a Dentist. They saw her today. They cannot save the tooth, or the other front one. She also has about 5 cavities, including one on her molar. That one will have to be filled and have a crown put on it, because she won't get another in its place until she's around 13 years old. So, that tooth must be saved. So, my beautiful baby girl has to have her two front teeth pulled. Fortunately, they're going to put her completely under for that, and for the rest of the work she needs done. But I still feel like a horrible Mom. I know it wasn't anything I could really prevent, because we had no idea that the water didn't have fluoride in it, or obviously we would've given her a supplement.
We're waiting to hear from the Hospital about when she'll be scheduled to have the work done. My Mother-In-Law is taking that day off from work so she can be with me while we're there too, because I just know I won't do too well with it.
I also had a Dentist Appointment today after Delia's with another Dentist. I'm going in on VALENTINE'S DAY to have all 4 of my wisdom teeth pulled. Fortunately again, I'll be put completely under and was referred to an Oral Surgeon by my Dentist.
Bleh. Guess I just needed to vent. I feel better.. Kinda.. For now.

No need for you to blame yourself. Sucks to valentines day tooth woes, though.
